Ecoscapes

This was one of the most interesting places I stayed in while visiting new Zealand. The room itself was really gorgeous, and the view was to die for. My reason for giving 4 stars is that it is really remote, and it is about 20 minutes down a gravel road. If this is your thing, you'll love this place, but I found it a little remote and you end up not having a lot of options or food or other activities. It is a gorgeous place, with lovely staff, and if you dont mind the drive, you will love it.

Stayed here in February, amazing experience and thoroughly loved it. Room was incredible the only issue is its hard to leave the room with that view. Hosts were very accomodating and practice what they preach with much of the lodge and vehicles powered by solar panels. The meals were fantastic, thoroughly recommend and will stay again!

What a fabulous getaway. The Ecoscape Cabins are an experience themselves, so peaceful and you can just really relax in the incredible environment. Food was beautiful and well portioned, and service so personal and seamless. Thank you so much, we will be back again!

Beautiful stay - the views from the cabin are simply breathtaking! The staff were welcoming and kind and ensured we had everything we needed. The cabin itself was very cosy and clean. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend away in one of the Econscapes. Watching Netflix from your bed while sipping Pinot...and in the middle of the wildeness.....Truly Fabulous. Food was great and the hosts, as ever, were friendly, attentive and super welcoming. The friendly hosting dogs were a joy! Very highly recommended....as an escape...oh! and walking in the native forest was invigorating. Will definately be back!

There are many things to like about EcoScapes. The accommodation is an amazing piece of sustainable luxury accommodation in Kinloch, which is about a 30 minutes drive away from Glenorchy. So you can enjoy the feeling of getting away while still being pretty close to civilisation.The EcoScape itself was very well-designed and very comfortable to stay and sleep in. The picture window was stunning and offered quite the amazing view right from the bed. And the projection system with Netflix was really a stroke of genius in design.We enjoyed the friendly service from the staff and that we could customise our breakfast. The food were mostly delicious and were beautifully plated and presented.The reason I took away a star was were due to 2 things - while the bathroom was definitely functional, the small sink meant that it was challenging to keep the floors dry when using it. The other reason was a lack of options for dinner - it would be great if lighter options like grilled fish or chicken can always be offered as our dinner menu on our first day only offered red meat options. We did not like the lamb ribs and pork belly as we felt they were too heavy and oily. But we really enjoyed the fried chicken appetiser.

Amazing view and gorgeous little pod to stay in for a romantic night. Projector to watch movies on and a hot tub. Only downside was the sand flies! Thanks for having us.

This is the best luxury accommodation I have ever stayed in. As a hobby photographer, let me just say the views are better than any photo could ever convey. Given how remote the location is, I was shocked at how good the internet was as well. The rooms are equipped with all the modern entertainment options you could ever need. The room was extremely well insulated to the point where I felt the warmth as soon as I entered and didn't have to contend with the early morning cold when I woke up in the morning. The shower was absolutely perfect as well. I arrived late for my one night stay, but still managed to have three showers while I was there. Toni and the rest of the team were always lovely and extremely patient when it came to working out a meal that suited my Low FODMAP requirements. The breakfast (in particular the scrambled eggs) was perfect as well. 1 night was not enough. This is the perfect place to disconnect from the stresses of your day to day. Will stay again.
