Rangiora Ferry Terminal

If you're coming down from Kaitaia and going to Opononi but wanting to by-pass Kaikohe, then take the ferry from Rangiora Ferry Terminal in Kohukohu to Rawene Ferry Terminal. Cross and marvel at the beauty of the inner Hokianga Harbour.

Super easy ferry crossing with lovely staff. 2$ on foot, 20$ for a car. Takes about 10-15mins.

Its a ferry terminal. It's unmanned and you buy tickets on the ferry. There's a long drop toilet here, a small shelter and sometimes a food cart. You'll wait in your car in a queue until the ferry arrives. There's a nice small beach beside the terminal? You can wait on the beach until the ferry arrives. It costs about $20 for a car, and $40 for a large campervan. Passengers cost $2 each

The chap managing this boat today was the most genuine cool character. He made me and my folks feel so welcome and that’s worth a 5 star review. See you again soon.

The cars queue up for the ferry here. There is no outlet or anything to buy tickets. A long drop toilet is located across the road. There is also a Food truck on road that sells coffee and bites like fries, hotdogs etc at a very nominal cost. The car ferry runs every half hour. Tickets could be purchased on the ferry. The ferry staff is very friendly with good customer service skills.

ferry was punctural and staff on board were nice. We had one ute, one driver and one passnger, and the price should be $22 in total. However, we had 21 in hand and one 100 note. Staff said just gave him $20 would do.;) So lovely.
