Originally ordered a uber driver to drive back to place we were staying. Which costed $7My mate had already paid for it. Driver called me over and I asked him twice if he was the Uber that my mate had ordered and he assured me that he was.So we hopped in then noticed it was a taxi, he started driving us back and refused to let us leave when we told him we had an uber and had already paid. What would of been only $7 ended up being a $19.20 ride, although he charged us $22.20. Add on the $7 my mate couldn't get back from uber and that ended up costing us $29.20Ruined a good night

We accidentally left a mobile phone in the our Smart Cab's vehicle when we booked it last night. The driver was very helpful in helping us get the phone back, going above and beyond to assist us (even kindly offering to drive back out to our home to deliver it personally!) We can't speak highly enough of this guy and strongly recommend the service.

Overpriced. Grabbed a taxi at a rank in Auckland CBD. Trip cost $65 whereas uber costs <$30 and Co-op taxis cost $50 for the same route, in the same traffic, at the same time of day. Driver was nice enough chap so no complaints about service.

Worst company EVER.Was charged $32.19 for a 5km trip from Anzac Ave to Mt Eden. Took us down Southern motorway and via Gillies ave. then proceeded to blame the GPS for telling him it was the quickest way.NEVER EVER use these guys unless you want to get ripped-off. BEWARE!!!

Trip was overpriced. Trip to Spark Arena from our motel at Mt Eden cost $17 via motorway with another company. Trip back after concert through city and stopping at numerous lights cost $38. Spoilt an otherwise enjoyable night. Would not use this company again.

I had the same experience as Azza Apa in the reviews Ordered an Uber, this guy arrived at same time and called us over. Got in and he acted like he was our Uber, drive off and I saw the taxi meter. Told him he wasn't our taxi and he raced towards the motorway so we had no choice of getting out. $15 Uber trip ended up costing me $60 plus I had to pay for Uber with a $10 cancellation fee. I'm pretty sure this guy was an Uber driver too because we saw him after he dropped us off circling around but without the taxi sign on top.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY. I was in Auckland CBD at 1am-ish, looking for my Uber. A 'Smart Cabs' taxi pulled up to me, saying he could do Uber, I was tired so jumped in. When we got to my destination in Royal Oak, he charged me $96.20! I was shocked and tried to question him, he then locked the doors and made me pay! This company are scammers, they drive around looking for people on their own to take advantage of! I tried to dispute it with the company Director and was told it was my fault.A normal cab would be $30-$40. ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS.

The WORST service I have ever had. We asked for $10 to get from grafton road to pita pit mount eden road and he said yes. Then when we got out he charges us $13 for card processing fee but DID NOT DISCLAIM this to us before we agreed to the ride. Then he came up to ask and was threatening to fight us.....

Nice drive. Also driver helped me to have a good understanding how taxi fare works. Casual ride always more expensive, but if I call a taxi it will be a massive drop. I would use them again, but I will call for my booking :-)
