Came here as the Chinese restaurant a few shops next to it was fully booked. We always like Dagu Rice Noodles and frequently go to the first branch in Dominion Road. Ordered the new spicy golden soup sliced beef noodle, their signature pork soft bone soup noodle, fried chicken and a sweet jelly dessert.The golden soup noodles was quite good while the fried chicken was well worth it as the portion was very big and tasted quite nice. However their signature pork bone noodles was a major disappointment. The soup was very bland. It is usually our kids' favourite noodle but both didn't eat much.Service level were also significantly down a notch vs the service level at Dominion Road. The front of house was ran by 2 youngsters (1 male n 1 female) and both looks really grumpy and had no smile as though they don't really want to be there. While service was relatively fast, we do not feel the same level of hospitality we had in Dominion Road.Overall, definitely no where as good as the Dominion Road branch so will likely head there next time when we feel like having a bowl of Dagu noodles.

Yum yum yum! Ordered two noodles. Prawn rice and tonkatsu. Serving was big for 4 of us!Can include milk tea per order which is large I think.Food coma right now. Definitely worth a next visit.

Have been to this place many times including Dagu in other locations. The atmosphere was always pleasant and comfortable. Service was friendly and fast. To date all the choices selected were tasty and portion was good with a free bowl of noodle. Keen on noodles? Try Dagu. Recommended.

Great awesome authentic Chinese Provincial food. Great valued for money beautiful flavours and hot pot soups are to die for. Ample parking in front and close to Lincoln Rd motorway off ramp. Expect waiting time during peak hours. Waiters and waitresses all working hard. When it gets really busy, it gets chaotic. Tables not cleaned promptly, food debris on the floor and slippery ....other guests arriving later jumping the quere and wanting a table now. They can have a better customer queuing system and one dedicated staff organising table allocation. This will allow good initial customer first impression. Great food son will return again.

Ordered the spicy & sour rice noodles, which was alright but lacking in flavour compared to other places I've ordered it from (Eden Noodle Cafe in Auckland, Garden Place Noodle Bar and The Chilli House in Hamilton) - usually I polish off the broth but I couldn't for this one.Matcha pearl milk tea was nice.Restaurant itself was clean and airy. Needing to order and pay at the counter before eating, with no paywave, definitely detracted from the ambience though.

Bad customer service. Food unlike advertised.Go to their Mt Eden branch, great service and food there!Ordered the same dish Rice noodle with fish fillet and pickled cabbage" for $16.50 and both came out at different times. We were the only customers.The portion is nothing like the picture

Ordered via Uber Eat - very well and thoughtful packaged, the steamed chicken with sichuan chili sauce came wrapped in plastic wraps and it didn’t leak at all and the spicy and sour rice noodle was huge portion, both are very tasty and would highly recommended for all noodles lovers!!

The rice noodles were great.However, the service was way worse than before.People dining there were served at totally different standards. A female waitress was serving a group of four warmly at their table, serving water and cups to their table, explaining menu options, gaving her recommendations, showing their way to order/pay. Other people sitting around were simply told to go to the front bar and order there and self-serve water/cups. The waitress even let one guy whom she served to cut in the queue while a couple people were waiting there to order/pay.The total experience of dining there wasn't good due to the differentiated service. Will never come back to this place again.The noodle king opsite the road provides way better service than here.
