We came across the little restaurant by chance. The food was magnificent, both my husband and I enjoyed our meals and thought it was some of the best Thai food we’ve ever eaten.

Wanted so much to love the new Thai restaurant that’s just opened, but sadly we were very disappointed. The curry puffs and spring rolls were standard fare. The pad Thai was just ok. However, the pork larb was very plain tasting, as was the green papaya salad. The beef massaman curry was awful. The quality of the meat was very poor. The rice portions were unusually small. Usually when a restaurant opens up they show extra generosity with portions to lure you back, am thankful to Sai Rung that they didn’t do that, as it saves us from ever ordering from them again.

We had a lovely dinner tonight, service was wonderful despite being a very busy night. Cheerful and kind while we knew he had many tables to look after. Pad Thai with seafood was great, lamb curry was a hit with the meat eaters and our fussiest child had the hot dogs and chips and said it was perfect. I hope locals keep this place going because it deserves all the praise. Thank you for keeping food Thai in Devonport!!

Fantastic! Delicious Thai food, great service and at a reasonable price. About time The Taste had some decent competition.
