Bunnings Warehouse Mt Maunganui

On the 28th June 2023 I wrote a letter to the manager of the Mount Maunganui store to bring his attention to an unpleasant experience I had. To cut a long story/saga short after months of having the issue the product I was waiting for finally arrived but no-one knew anything about it so I asked to see a manager to explain the situation and as I explained the frustration of the on going saga and never once raising my voice, the manager of the department, a women then accused me of being aggressive and said I would have to leave the store without the product which was promised to me three times by staff that it would be no charge. While the whole saga has been a joke to resolve I pointed out to her three times I was not being aggressive and her attitude was to use attack as a defense. She gave me the replacement product at no charge and I left, and when I got home wrote to the branch manager. It is now the 16th of July and have not had a reply. This appears to be the culture fostered by the business.

Fantastic service from Asihannah who we found in the gardening dept may Sundays visit easy. Nice to have someone genuinely want to help. walked away with exactly what we wanted. Cheers

Love this place for stock but not the counter service. Have my own app so can shop and scan. Stay away from the disorganized counters and understaffing

A shout-out to the store cafe. Popped into Bunnings this morning to pick-up a few painting supplies. First stop was the cafe for my morning coffee fix. The area was immaculate, including the tables, enjoyed my latte and the passionfruit melting moment was delicious. Well done Bunnings Mt Maunganui.

Maree at the tool checkout could do with some better customer service. Gave the impression that she thought I was going to steal the toolkit set I was buying. Instead of racing towards someone with the scanner gun and then hiding behind the computer screens, maybe acknowledge them first.

Lovely staff member helped me and my partner find a line trimmer that we saw online but wasn't in stock in store. He went above and beyond to help us out and thought he deserved a shout out . :)

Ordered something online only to find out it wasn't in stock. Was offered a refund, alternative or delivery from another store. Opted for delivery from another store, only to be told the item is not available from any store. Have accepted a refund. Disappointed that the available stock levels were not correct across the WHOLE country but can't fault the customer service

Bought a telescopic chainsaw and a battery with intend to trim tree branches. A subsequent use found the tool resulted in excessive vibration when trimming slender branches while holding the tool in low angle. While the Bunning service staff did advise that the tool was best used in a near vertical position because of its inherent weight, nothing was said about its tendency to induce vibration. The service staff refused to refund the tool and the battery until intervention by the manager. One star to the service staff and 5 stars to the manager.

Very helpful and friendly service in the garden centre. Needed some help from the counter and the lady there took me to exactly what I was looking for
