Whangapoua Holiday Park
Amazing place! Super clean and tidy. The kitchen is very spacious with everything you need to cook. Plenty of space in the fridges and there is a lot of boxes to store your food. Bathrooms / showers also clean and well located at the center of the campground. The owners are lovely, they were super accomodating as we had to leave 1 night early. Definitely recommend this place!

Friends and I booked this campground last minute, we had two sites for three small campervans. It was a beautiful setting in a rural area. Very peaceful and family friendly. Playground & trampoline for kids was a hit even with us! The owners were running the place and were helpful. Great facilities - by far the best showers I've had while camping, it was like showering at home - worth paying $1 for. Also had a hair dryer in the bathroom. The kitchen was equipped with so much and lot's of space. Really enjoyed our stay and the next time we're in the Coromandel, we will likely be staying again.

A great holiday park! Generous camping space, really clean facilities. Loads Loads space in the fridges and also a freezer too which was amazing! A really great location for exploring local beaches. Richard gave us some really good tips for exploring the local area. Would highly recommend and will return.

Beautiful little camping with everything you need! We spent one night in a tent during Easter break. The camping was full but everything went smoothly. Everything is cleaned. The kitchen is very well equipped. The terrace is nice with 2 BBQ. Grass is fluffy... Really recommend this campground. Very closed by to the most beautiful beach of NZ...

Very nice campground, tables and bench outside. Nice and friendly hosts. Clean facilities but kitchen's too small. The camping was not full when we were there but we were not able to fit all in the kitchen.

One of our favorite places in the Coromandel! We have stayed here three times and had guests stay here when we were married in the area. It is a very convenient and meticulously kept campground. We have stayed in the four person cabins. They come with- queen bed, with sheets- bunked single beds, with sheets- small closet, with towels- small table and 4 chairs- microwave and 3/4 size fridge- basic plates and utensils- toaster and kettle- sponge, soap, and brushThe cabins are sound and secureThe bathroom block is the cleanest I've ever seen. Due to local water restrictions the showers are on a timer and cost and extra $1 per six minutes of hot water. The kitchen block is well equipped and also very clean. There are plenty of fridges for shared cold storage and two BBQs. The kitchens have hot plates, but there is no oven.We have not stayed at the camp sites, but they have lovely grass and I can see power points for RV'sThere is a small playground and a trampoline for children. The grounds are similarly well maintained. No prickles in the grass and the lighting at night is sufficient without being intrusive. There is wifi, you just need to get vouchers from the office. The location is next to a main road, so you do get traffic noise. It is a 10-min car ride or 30-min bike ride to Whangapoua beach. The staff are very helpful, but get understandably grumpy if you make a mess.

It was really really nice! The facilities were clean, the kitchen had Everything you need and is open 24/7. Showers were really really nice single cabins. We washed a lot and the owner even gave us some free dryer uses. We were there just before a cyclone hit and the owners came to us and told us about it and how to be safe . They got us a route and even called up another campground so we had a safe spot to stay the next day. Super Kind and helpful from them they really took care of us. Would defenitely stay here all the time if I'd be in nz for longer. Plus 15 bucks for a non powered site is super cheap in my opinion. Really awesome stay here.:)

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Christmas 2013 period, absolutely loved it. The facilities were top notch. Cleanliness was top notch, each morning I bumped into Aaron cleaning the shower facilities at 6.30ish. Suzanne provided a warm welcome on arrival. The cabins were cosy and functional, if they didn't have any utensils needed for eating they were available in the communal kitchen shared with the campers. Orange tree in the corner was a delicious bonus. All round really nice place to spend a few days, fully recommend it. There was a mixture of families and couples which was nice to see.

Arrived there a rainy day and the tentsite turned into a little lake. There was one cabin free but only for 80$ a night, minimum stay two nights. We couldn't pitch up the tent and didn't wanted to pay 160$ for a night, so we ended up sleeping in our car. Luckily the campsite has hot showers (6 min 1$) and a well equipped kitchen with seating possibilities, so we spend a wonderful afternoon / evening with very nice people there.
