these guys have a lot of patience coz i cant sing that great but they always bring the best out of me... they are cool and professional and the recording atmosphere is always relaxed and inviting which makes for a good session... I have now recorded and/or produced 4 albums and an ep in the last 9 years with Phill and his team (Blair mostly) at Matrix. The support is superb as are the skills. I have a very traditional way of recording based on years of being a studio musician and singer and they are more than happy to cater for my little eccentricities. I also use a lot of musicians and singers and they have no problem with any of my plans and schedules. Matrix like their musicians to plan ahead and are more than happy to help with that process which would be a great comfort to musicians just starting out in a studio for their first recording. It is equally helpful for an older musician like myself. Both Blair and Phill have great people skills, very good engineering skills on great gear and will also help with production and advice where required. I cannot rate these guys highly enough for professionalism, ability, positivity and total honesty.
