We keep on coming back here after I gave birth as we really love the pastries and this time with our baby, she likes croissant but wouldn't finish it all however, when I let her tried La Jaconde's, she managed to ate everything! (Well, when I was pregnant with her, I was craving La Jaconde's pastries and kept on visiting the bakery even though it's a bit far away from us)You must pay this bakery a visit and try all their heavenly pastries, you'll know and see what I mean.

Beautiful desserts and pastries. Nice to see hard work come out in these beautiful works of art. Don’t know why these bad reviews are complaining must have bad attitudes and typical negative people haha

Stunning authentic French patisserie, fantastic Dacquois, cappuccino.

This French pastry shop proved to be a bit of a disappointment for me and definitely overrated.Let's begin with the positive aspects. The coffee served was actually enjoyable, with an organic taste and a mild flavor that suited my preference. I appreciated that. However, I ordered a large coffee, yet the size felt more like a medium, which was slightly disappointing.Now, let's discuss the negatives. The pastry, particularly the cakes, they were small and overpriced for the taste, quantity, and quality they offered. It seemed as though the ingredients were simply purchased from a supermarket and assembled without much baking involved. Even the whipped cream had a store-bought taste. I must emphasize that my critique of the taste does not stem from a lack of familiarity with French cuisine; the cakes were simply average and not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend wasting money on them.Furthermore, the shop's space was quite basic, with uncomfortable chairs and tables. Overall, I found the shop to be overrated and not to my taste. It is not a place I would consider revisiting in the future.

This place is absolutely amazing- the best pastry in all NZ! I have been to Paris and this guy puts them to shame. Everything is made fresh that morning, and even when he uses out of season berries etc they are so fresh! I highly recommend the little custard pastries and the caramel nut tarts. I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed.

One of the best bakeries in Auckland. Definitely the best French bakery I've been to here! I have been many times and it is consistently great quality. Lots of delicious sweet pastries. My favourite is probably anything with fruit or raisins. The breads are perfect - the fig loaf is one of my favourite things to buy here, I just eat it fresh with a little butter. Their small layer cakes are also very well done and flavourful. You can tell each layer is perfectly made - definitely one to savour. The quality overall is a step or two above other bakeries in the area.

absolutely love this place! everything is so beautiful and delicious. their almond croissant is to die for! my family love them too. staff are friendly too, will never stop coming here!!

At every French bakery I visit I always get a pain au raisin and almond croissant to help me decide whether the bakery is worth coming back. La Joconde definitely had one of the best! I also tried their BadBoyz (choux+cream bomb). I didn't know what they were but I observed every customer that walked in would buy them. So I bought one out of curiosity. It was heavenly.

Just went earlier today, and wow it’s so tasty and delicious. I tried the mini donut and their new choux with crystal sugar on top. Definitely going to recommend both of them 100/100, I just graduated from a pastry diploma and I can definitely say it’s worth trying everything. The mini choux had sugar crystals on top which was little bit crunchy and goes really well with the smooth and creamy pastry cream filling. Can’t wait to visit again❤️
