Spend $200 food was only worth about $30. Low quantity, watery curries. Only tasty food was pannneer pakora. Not happy at all. Never gonna return to this place.

Atmosphere and service was excellent, however the food was average. Decent sized portions but didn't take me to flavour town like other places such as Gr8tandoori.Tried a few entrees and mains.The heat on the Hot malai kofta wasn't enough to bring a sweat to my partners forehead.I think your average Joe would enjoy this place however :)

Maharaja’s has a different menu to other Indian restaurants. It features regional specialities and the food is consistently excellent, with good quality meat and fragrant flavours. The service is usually efficient and friendly but can get confused when busy or when there are large groups in the restaurant.

Brought 4 takeaway curries tonight, and 4 Nan.Paid ($101.00)they we’re all too salty, we only ate the Nan . So pretty expensive bread in the end. I’ve had curry from them before and was ok. Not sure if I will go back???

Amazing atmosphere and real, authentic Indian cuisine. If you are a real fan of proper spicy food (and you can really handle the heat), mention Indian hot" with your order.The staff were very polite and the owner came around a few times to ensure that we had everything we needed.Thank you for a slice of tasty spice wonderland in Wellington! Will be back for more when we visit NZ again."

Food is delicious with good sized portions, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very pleasant for an overall dining experience.

Found it to be okay, but nothing great. The tomato Butter Chicken was nice, if a little sweeter than other places. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a bit tart and a bit too salty unfortunately. The Garlic Naan was nice though, good texture.
