I changed to prepay after being a loyal customer for years. The plan I was on was great besides when I would use up my txts or minutes instead of caping my phone the bill would charge 20c per txt! Making my bill huge! And I couldn’t switch to prepay immediately I had to pay a contract fee! Or wait the monthly plan! I have changed to prepay as my budget only allows so much per month. So I once I changed to prepay I topped up my balance $20 and attempted to buy a the monthly rollover plan. No txts or calls were done and I my balance was $19.80! This would then now not let me buy the plan and required to top up my account a minimum of $10. I’m extremely disappointed with my service with spark for these reasons. I would change providers instantly if my residents received reception from other providers.I then came to Riccarton mall to talk to staff about the situation and what they could do for me? I was turned away with nothing helpful just an answer thats the way it is.

They were able to set me up with a plan which was a little expensive, but worked. However, they could not figure out how to download the sim to my phone. When I came back the next day after doing my research, they told me it wasn't possible and told me it was my fault for choosing the wrong phone and the wrong plan. I then went to the store downtown, and they were able to do it easily with little problem. It was a bit of a long process, but just because it takes time is no excuse to turn someone away. Please make the process of setting up an esim easier for your staff, or train them better. The manager of the downtown location trained their staff much better.

Made 2 visits and got absolutely excellent service from 2x staff. Irene helped me sort out a purchase while Bevan went above and beyond. Took some time to transfer data mob to mob but he then helped with another problem I had that I didn't even mention. Impressive.

Quite shocking customer service, the retail assistant Alex was constantly talking down to my partner and I as well as rolling his eyes whenever we were asking questions about the different iPhones. This is unacceptable service and an absolutely disgusting way to talk to people. To top it off, as soon as he sold us the phone he ran out back and packed his stuff up and left the store… absolutely shocking service. He didn’t inform us of an insurance plan (his workmate asked us if we had one and we told him we had no idea it was even available ), he didn’t inform us that we needed to buy a wall plug seperate as they don’t come with the phone anymore. The list goes on but this store is not worth any more effort.

As full disclosure, I already highly dislike Spark as a company prior to signing up for a phone plan with them, it is just that they are the only company with a wearables plan. Staff were wholely unhelpful, insisting that I must get an expensive pay monthly plan in order to get the wearables plan - which turned out to be untrue. I got the prepaid plan with the wearables plan after a long time of battling with staff, and then having to wait for them to confirm it. I then had to wait overnight as my number was transferred to the new sim. When I returned the next day, staff once again insisted I needed pay monthly, and we had to confirm it again staff then had the gall to try to upsell me to an even more expensive pay monthly plan. Staff made no checks to make sure everything was working before I left. I had issues and needed to return later that day. To the credit of the staff member, she remembered me and I didnt need to say who I was for her to pull up my details. This credit was undone when she wiped all connection settings from my phone without telling me what it was she was doing. This meant I then had to fully reset my watch. The watch was ALREADY CONNECTED TO SPARK AND WORKING so this was totally unwarranted. I now have to go through setting up my watch from scratch all over again. She also wiped all my bluetooth pairings and all my wifi connections.Staff were overall not unpleasant, but are clearly poorly trained, and seem to take a know-all attitude that assumes customers are wrong, or don't know what they are talking about, or don't know anything about how their devices work.I hate spark. The second Vodafone or anybody else comes out with a wearable plan, I will be switching.

Spoke to the sales manager (wears a turban) to get the rotuer for my Spark internet. Said he just needed to speak to another person first which he did. After he did that I then waited @ 15 minutes most of the time with him standing playing maitre d not doing anything for a simple router uplift. Gave up waiting and went to another store.

Went there to buy a pair of headphones for my iPhone and the staff said that the one I wanted couldn't connect to my iPhone and tried to sell me $400 apple air pods. Tech store staff doesn't know how Bluetooth works great service.
