I was initially booked in for an ultrasound in Botany but the day I had the appointment something happened as I went to leave home and it meant I was running late. I got a lecture like a child from them about being on time and how she had told me this the day before and blah blah blah. So I decided I would not go there again and cancelled the appointment and chose EastMed instead. I was very glad I did. It was easy to find, had a very happy, friendly and pleasant receptionist, had only a short wait, and a lovely person doing the ultrasound who was very helpful and explained clearly what I was seeing on the fabulous TV screen. What a great idea. I have been to other places and there has been no screen. I am a nurse so interested in what is going on. In actual fact I now wonder is that why other places do not have them- they don't want the patients asking questions? Anyway it was a fast, efficient, and friendly service (And I wasn't spoken to like a 5 year old) and so I will definitely be recommending them and will be back if the occasion arises.

If you are not excited about your baby and don’t want to hear anything during the ultrasound scans this is the place for you. I gave this place 3 chances for my first baby and all 3 times had a terrible experience. There was no talking or engagement from the sonographer. There wasn’t even a time that anything was pointed out to me during the scans. I walked out of the medical centre shattered every single time after sitting through the silent scans and trying to dig information at the end of the scan from the sonographer who reluctantly answered my questions.Would not recommend this to anyone for baby scans! If I could put a zero rating I would.Also partners are not allowed at the premises at level 3 restrictions even though during the same alert level I was allowed in to the hospital and my GP with my partner. Not sure where these strict rules have come from.

I've had a very positive experience during both pregnancies getting my scans done at Eastmed Radiology. What particularly impressed me was the manner of Alex, the technician, - very professional, patient, calm and clear in his dealings during the scans. Thank you very much!Kate, the receptionist, is extremely approachable, flexible when scheduling appointments and helpful whenever I've needed an extra printout or some more information.A service like this is definitely worth using as it reflects a balance of skills between technical know - how and customer service. 5-star service! My friends who always come to Eastmed for their scan recommended this place.Nice set-up, very friendly and professional staff. The person who did the scan is knowledgeable and caring. He was explaining my scan while I was watching it on a TV screen ( the biggest screen I’ve seen in a scanning room!). I was given nice baby prints and all images were sent to my email. Thank you. Highly recommend

UPDATE 18/12/19 We returned today and the service was much improved. ----- Hugely underwhelmed with the care here. Myself and my partner went in very excited for our 3 month scan to leave feeling almost depressed. The male radiographer is extremely cold and reserved, we felt like he didn't even try to make us feel comfortable or excited. He didn't try to get any decent photos, simply measured and sent us on our way. A day later I am still waiting for the photos I paid for. I called the lovely receptionist to shear this feedback and was told it was not the first time she had herd feedback of this nature. She was very apologetic and suggested I may need to go elsewhere as he is the only radiographer they have. I would strongly suggest Ascot Hospital in Green Lane as an alternative.

Great experience. I even remarked to my radiographer how tranquil and peaceful the environment was. The practitioners were thorough and professional and the receptionist warm, bubbly and friendly. After much searching I found EastMed was significantly cheaper than other places I looked at (for the kind of ultrasound I needed) and a top notch service. I am very happy. Value and good service is not compromised in order to offer a more realistic price for those of us on a budget!

Went for Anatomy scan which is usually a very exciting scan for expectant parents to also find out whether they're having a boy or girl. I've been here before for previous pregnancies and when they used to have the lady sonographer years ago she was great to deal with.Receptionist is lovely and very helpful.The current sonographer is very thorough and is probably very good at his technical work but is not very enthusiastic and engaging. I know he has to check the baby but would be nice for him to get a nice scan pic while he's doing that. They don't give you a pic after your appointment. I got emailed all 80 pictures from the scan and not one of them was a nice one for me to save and share with my family and friends.The screen placement would be better on the side so mother can watch everything comfortably without having to strain neck to try and see what's going on at the foot of the bed.I got booked in here by my midwife so I attended but I'd never go back there again unless I absolutely have no choice.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine. I did here my Anatomy scan for my baby. Great service, very polite staff and knowledgeable. Bonus - much cheaper than to do the same scan on North Shore or Central Auckland. Thank you

I have been to East Med several times and very happy with the efficient service thus far. The radiologist is knowledgeable in his craft and receptionist was extremely helpful and approachable each time we've come. The atmosphere is usually nice and quiet and all staff in the complex seem very amiable.

Wow! Debs is such a polite receptionist. Thank you so much for your help and sorting out an appointment for me. Appreciate Alex's substitute who was very patient while doing my anatomy scan as my baby wasn't moving in ideal positions. Will definitely be booking all my appointments with EastMed Radiology.Don't mind driving across Auckland to come here. Wonderful to deal with.
