Amazing Oysters, must try! NZ 1st light wagyu beef steak not recommended, assorted seafood sashimi plate was tasty, first light beef tataki carpaccio was yummy, crispy southland blue cod was okay.

We had the degustation menu along with some extra orders.First thing we noticed is the Japanese staff! Always a great sign at a Japanese restaurant. There's a reason why this establishment has such high reviews.Service was excellent, food was delicious and generous for a degustation menu!Mouth watering flavours and an adventure with each spoonful.Only thing to note was that the ventilation wasn't that good in the room. Aside from that, we were thankful we were recommended this professional restaurant!A must try when you're in Queenstown. One of the best meals we had in New Zealand!

The best restaurant I've tried in New Zealand, at a surprisingly affordable price. Impeccable service. We tried the QUEEN OMAKASE Sharing Plates and it was amazing. They were able to accommodate gluten-free dietary requests. We will be back!

We ordered an 8-course omakase menu. The food was delicious and authentic. We were so happy to find a traditional Japanese restaurant in Queenstown, and Tatasumi just exceeded our expectations!

Wow!! This is the very best restaurant I've eaten at...Me and my friend went for fancy dining and we were surprised how good it was. For every seafood-freak out there it's the way to go.We had the Degustation Menu (x2) and we absolutely loved it. Absolutely worth the money. The staff was soooo friendly. 100% recommend, thank you for this experience...

Considering that past reviews were consistently stellar, I had high expectations and Tatsumi delivered and executed their dinner services flawlessly. We dined on 21st June 2022 and needless to say, we had never enjoyed fine dining as a family to such an extent, especially my dad who had never liked fine dining. The highlights for us were the Taro gnocchi, the baked oysters with yuzu miso and the blue cod parcels. Even the kara-age was tender and moist on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Sashimi and nigiri were fresh and melt-in-your-mouth. We loved the baked oysters so much that we ordered twice.In hindsight, we should have ordered the matcha fondant instead. Having said that, the green tea affogato was still satisfying. Matcha sauce was prepped fresh in front of diners.Thank you Tatsumi for such an enjoyable dinner on our last day at QZN. Will return to savour your tantalising morsels again.
