Bought a beautiful black merino dress here for a funeral. Very helpful staff who also took a photo of me in it to send to my daughter so she could help me decide.

Went in after work, got looked at up and down like I didn't belong in the shop. Lady behind counter in homewares was blunt and seemed like I was an inconvenience. I tried to strike conversation but she really couldn't be bothered. I also work in retail and would never treat anyone like that. If you don't like your job, leave

Got some great dresses in your sale ,great service also as we were about to leave the store we had a lovely conversation with a lady in the perfume dept ..

I don’t know why I bother ever going back to this shop. Was after a wee outfit for my unborn baby and was looking for about 20 minutes, the baby section is right behind counter where two shop assistants where, not once did one ask if I needed help or even acknowledge I was there. I find this experience to be a common occurrence in this section of the store particularly. When I went to purchase my items one lady was busy sorting clothes and the other was standing there, after them both forcing a hello to me one just walked away and the other continued to sort her clothes, granted the lady came back to serve me. I asked for advice and she coldly gave me her opinion and that was it. In hind sight I wish i had just walked out as I left feeling like a just waisted money somewhere who doesn’t deserve it. It costs nothing to be kind

I really don't know where the friendly staff reviews come from ? I was the only customer in there yesterday morning and the staff completely ignore me ..I spend sometime in there looking at the items that interested me..Mean while the staff were happy to stand there talking to each other ..Just straight out rude ...Why work there ? Is my question? The shop downstairs was all squash in and jumbled up all over the place ..No structure to it ..but I guess if you have incompetent staff this is what you get .. Certainly not the ballantynes I am accustomed to.. Really disappointing...

Helpful staff, easy parking close by, cafe, space between displays to move about easily for those with wheelchair or pram
