Food was good and is a nice cafe. However, service was quite slow. Had to wait for probably 40 minutes from ordering to getting the food. Might be because it's a public holiday today.

People should be aware that it’s not as dog friendly as some reviews here make out. Dogs can stay outside only. So basically the same as any other cafe in New Zealand with any outdoor seating.

Mother & Daughter breakfast at our local, she thoroughly enjoyed her buttermilk banana pancakes, fluffy and delicious. My meal was OK, Garden of Vegan (I added x1 poached egg) but bland, filling breakfast.Good coffee, I had Soy Latte and daughter said her hot choc was nice.

I have not visited Charlie and George in many years and it's still a excellent cafe and I love menu. The chicken waffle tasted delicious and I would highly recommend this dish if your coming.We loved the decor and great service we got from the friendly staff.

Stopped by for lunch. Fairly busy but there was a free table. Iced chocolate was a but bitter but the ice cream made it alright. They had a few different items on the menu and tried the pumpkin risotto. The rice was a bit too al dente for me but the pumpkin flavour was there. The feta and nuts gave it good texture and flavour.Nice cafe to stop by if you're in the area.Edit: We came by for a work lunch so there was a decent number of us. We did book beforehand. They are part of the Stonefield complex so you are able to use the parking lot there. They have both cabinet food as well as an a la carte menu. The menu has a range of interesting items like a lamb tostada and chicken and waffles. I ended up going with the creamy mushrooms. The mushrooms were nicely seasoned and there was a decent heap over the sourdough. It was a nice place for a casual lunch and does cater for most dietary needs.

Average food. I was so hungry and looking forward to a nice breakfast. When the food arrived, I knew I was getting something below coffee club quality. There was no flavor, no salt, no afford, and no love. Being a food lover, I was disappointed. I am just writing a review so you guys can take into consideration and improve your flavors.

Amazing place for breakfast and lunch. Fast and professional service. Have a great range of different foods and are quite sizeable portions. Plus the quality of the food was amazing. Can get busy but it's not too loud which is good. Inside and outside seating available. Definitely recommend to try it out if you're thinking about it.

Went there for brunch. 3 adults + 1 infant.The buttermilk pancakes were great! I added bacon and the ice-cream. I did ask for cream instead, but they didn't have any.Pancakes were nice and fluffy, and the bacon was cooked to my liking.They had okay access for the stroller and a change table in the bathroom, which is a huge plus!4 stars only as the coffee wasn't the best.

Great food, great coffee and super dog friendly! Our meals came out really quickly and our 2 dogs were very welcome there.
