Very informative lady, plenty of parking. Heaps of souvenirs for anything you may need. Talked to Saehee about all our needs and she drew up a full itinerary for us. Highly appreciated! Heaps of maps, brochures and just everything. Joint to a cafe as well so you can flick through all the maps you just got. Would recommend if coming through Whangarei

Since long people have enjoyed smiles of that old lady selling hand crafted wooden toys at the entrance doors.Nice place to see.

Whangarei isite Visitor Information Centre
Has showers and lots of toilets that are clean.Information centre I have been into once and gotten a coffee but bit expensive but nice. There is a large park opposite the parking you can sit in there and eat or the kids can play in the park, especially if it is a pit stop..toilet, eat and run around and stretch their legs.

Not kept as clean as they used to be. The toilets seem to be hit and miss these days however, they do have a shower room which is great for the freedom campers. They could do with a coffee van which would be a good break for the long distance traveller.

The ISite itself is wonderful. Very well laid out and clean, workers are relaxed and helpful.The food truck outside? The awful, horrible woman working there made my autistic sister breakdown and cry.I could not find which business ran this truck, so I assume it is sponsored by the ISite since they had a sign promoting the truck. My sister was having an awful day and just needed some kindness, or even just to bet met with a basic/neutral attitude. Nope. The woman was impatient, rude, and mean. It was lucky I was there so I could step up and order for her. Not that either of us felt much like eating after that interaction.

Staff are always polite and helpful. Good to see security here - makes us feel safer. Loved the $2 for 5 minutes shower while I'm putting up a dwelling. Life saver!

Great place for information and to stop for a break on my road trip. .plenty of parking and clean toilets.
