Caltex - Wainuiomata

Update 20th August 2021Tonight i brought a box of Weetbox from them the best before date was 28th April 2021. What makes them think its fine to sell cereal which is over 3 months past a best before date? This wouldn't be considered acceptable in any given supermarket let alone dairy. Whilst it may or may not be safe to eat its a big slap in the face to the customer. I am now faced with the choice of eating it and hopefully not getting sick or throwing out the entire box, considering current events i will be eating it. Poor customer service Caltex Wainuiomata one star. This has no bearing on the girl whom served me that day, she had a nice enough demeanor.I wish to add change happens within. The owner can improve their service if they wish. If they read this know that life does get better.Update: 8th September 2020I can no longer recommend Caltex Wainuiomata, im not sure if it has a new owner or what the story is if your looking for a pie go elsewhere unless you want a montys pie. I was charged over $4 for an irvines sausage roll which i refused to buy and walked straight out. Tonight i waltz'd in looking for a pie, noticed big bens standard pies were $4.50 one of NZ's worst brands today. Don't waste your time going there unless its for gas, montys pies are still $2 there who knows for how long. If the owner starts to charge realistic prices and comes down from whatever cloud he or she is on i will update my review again. 2 stars cause the workers are friendly and do a good job.Caltex Wainuiomata have been struggling economically because for a number of years Wainuiomata has been on a downhill slump. Business is picking up at the station as is the Strand because of a few changes taking place locally. They have found it difficult to compete with BP but i believe that will change once the road is completed from queens street to the strand. Ive not had any big problems with the lads working there, overall friendly guys and you cant beat a monty's pie for $2 on a cold day.Caltex is a historical station in Wainuiomata from times when the valley was more prosperous, with the changing times in business it looks set to stay here indefinitely. Overall, the customer service is good they do the best they can they are a small team and offer LPG BBQ cylinder refills on site for quite cheap. If someone's had a bad experience give them another go, be sure to mention what took place maybe they'd be happy to rectify it.Caltex get 4 stars from me for offering decent service with no added thrills, there's always room to improve.

They also have hire trailers at a reasonable rate, caged and one covered, friendly and helpfull service, family friendly, wheel chair access, rest room.

Best service station in Wainuiomata. Friendly staff and always go here for fuel.

Drove from naenae to wainuiomata which is up a huge hill to find out they r closed which Google website says that they r open 24hrs to not only waste my petrol but to get a flat wheel going down the hill and having another car Come and rescue me and my 2 children I would like compensation for this mishap thank you kindly and for this not to happen to anyone else again so update website emeditly churs

It's in desperate need of an upgrade and a good car wash but other than that it's just your regular caltex servo

Cashiers is super nice and they always have everything I need…Love this place always less expensive.

Great Station. They support Cancer Drivers so that makes them an awesome garage. Boss is really nice and always has a friendly smile and chat ready for you.

It's went down hill. Considering I use to go out of my way to fill up here it's sad. Bare minimum done, extras like a liter of oil or window wash have went stupid expensive. Can not remember the last time they had enough staff on to offer to pump my gas. Only fill up here now when it's convenient to my drive home.

I usually only pick up cigarettes from here so can't comment on anything more than customer service, that being said ... I have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating!
