Swiss-Belboutique Napier

Definitely not worth the price or 4 star rating.While the location and the room itself is nice that’s probably the nicest thing about it. The bathroom door had toothpaste stains from previous guests the cleaners missed.No cutlery or any proper kitchen appliances. The tea cups are tiny and no microwave. They bother to give you dishwashing liquid and a scrubber but no plates or cutlery.Asked for room service/the place to be cleaned but after 3pm they still hadn’t come, but I saw them doing the room next door around 1-2pm. Stayed out the whole day so I wouldn’t get in the cleaners way for no reason.Front door closes around 9:15pm so you have to press the intercom to be let in. After waiting for a while just decided to go through the garage, only to see someone standing at the front desk anyway. If I didn’t pay for a car park I imagine I’d be waiting outside for a while.Any bar or restaurant in the building was closed.Based off other reviews experience here seems to be a roll of the dice.If you don’t care about money then it’s not bad. But I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

Room was lovely, but lacked a bath, no spa facilities, which I would have expected. Car parking is extra which we were not advised. Restaurant is good but menu is limited. Seemed to be a few unhappy customers when I was booking in

Beautiful rooms, unfortunately ours was above the bin area so a noisy wakeup. Reception said it was the entry level rooms. They might want to rethink their strategy to get returning guests.

I had a very short trip to Napier but the Swiss-Belboutique certainly made it more enjoyable. It's a short walking distance to the main centre and close enough to cab to the airport at a relatively low cost. The room was stunning and had all the amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and would definitely use again when I venture back out to the Hawkes Bay.

Beautiful rooms, very modern and clean with underground parking. Great amount of space and the service was excellent. Breakfast didn’t have your typical wide variety or df options but it was still a great spread, and beautiful hotel.Our room only had a small window but My families rooms had a bigger windows with different room configurations.But overall very happy with spending 3nights there.

I was looking forward to this stay as the pictures of the hotel looked gorgeous and it was in a great location. The room decor was nice, but unfortunately that’s about the most positive thing I can say about the experience.The amenities and service are definitely not 5-star, and I don’t think they should be advertised as such.- The kitchen and lobby bar were closed for the entire weekend- Breakfast was included in our room rate but was cancelled on one of the mornings because the chef was sick, on the second morning the “buffet breakfast” was really disappointing with canned fruit, a bland selection of hot food and barista coffees only available at an extra cost- There’s no 24-hour reception or key fob for the front door, so if you come home later than 9.15pm you have to wait for ages at the intercom- Plumbing is noisy and bathroom tap doesn’t fit the sink- We only had one robe for a 2-person stay and there was someone’s dirty shower cap left in the bathroom when we arrived- Bathrooms in the restaurant were filthy- If you want to use an iron you need to go to a dark, dingy room on the third floorI could go on, but the point was it was just so disappointing and they still tried to charge me extra for parking, with no real apology for these shortcomings. When I mentioned this to the receptionist upon check out he reluctantly removed the extra parking charge at my request, but simply stated that the rooms would’ve been cheaper if it wasn’t peak season? At the end of the day, we still paid a fair bit of money for a below-average stay, didn’t have access to the limited facilities spruiked as included in the stay, and the staff didn’t seem fussed about improving the experience. Unfortunately won’t be back and can’t recommend to anyone visiting Napier.

Very happy with my stay here. Lovely hotel with clean, modern rooms and bathrooms. Only let down was that there was no microwave in the room.

The good:- Decor and size of Room- Functional Kitchen with nespresso and fully stocked minibarThe bad;- Paper thin walls(could hear what my neighboring rooms occupant was saying on the phone clearly)- Hard uncomfortable bed, would expect a better level of comfort for the room cost- Plumbing and shower pressure unacceptable- Bar and restaurant closed half of the week, I understand finding staff is hard currently but the lack of amenities needs to be reflected in the price. Has the hotel explored the possibility of outsourcing to a local restaurant for the time being?This place has potential and have nailed certain things (size of Room and Decor)but still need some real focus completing the full package experience customers should be receiving at this price level.

Stayed here this weekend been. Decor is lovely and stunning. The bed was so uncomfortable, felt every spring and a could see and feel the two single beds pushed together. The bathroom sink was fitted wrong and couldn’t wash ur hands or brush ur teeth (had to use the kitchen sink!) as the water was only just going into the sink! When mentioned the stay was average to Amanda but she replied with a smirk and a chuckle and didn’t ask anything about it. Won’t be returning. Guttered to pay for the hotel room for what it offered
