Canoe and Kayak Taupo

We had a great time on our tour with Laura.Friendly, knowledgeable and down to Earth - everything you might want from a guided tour. I would thoroughly recommend to everybody.Pick up a roof rack from the Roof Rack Centre while you're there!

Went on the float kayak tour with our guide ‘Jar’. Lots of fun and very relaxing! The river was clear and absolutely beautiful, and Jar was so fun and informative! Highlight was definitely paddling under the Bungay whilst people jumped off! Definitely good value for money, and the tour guide got lots of pictures in a GoPro which he sent to everyone free of charge! Definitely recommend if your in the area!!!

Fantastic guided kayak experience. Laura, the guide, was very knowledgeable on the area and very experienced in her craft. The scenery, the halfway swim and a cup of tea on the beach were all amazing. Thank you for a memorable family experience.

We made a first reservation on the internet. We received a cancellation email about 4 hours before the start of the expedition due to high winds. When we went there, we were told that there was no guide anyway (how is that possible??) but we were offered to book for another day, which we did.The second time, we arrived at 8:30 am in front of the store which was closed for the Christmas vacations. But we were 7 to wait with reservations so we didn't worry about it. After more than an hour of waiting, we sent an email. Answer one hour later: they had forgotten to warn us that the expedition was cancelled for high winds. You might as well say that they had forgotten to tell us that they were on vacation. Because of that we almost missed the carvings. I advise you to go to Taupo Kayaking Adventures who allowed us to rent kayaks the same day. For them, no worries of strong wind"."

Second time doing the Waikato float today with these guys. So much fun and an excellent experience. Fantastic way to enjoy the river below lake Taupo, all with an experienced safe guide. Excellent value for money! Thanks again guys.

The supplies were wet, the van we took was on it's last leg and the tour guide didn't even know the front passenger seatbelt was broken and tried to hide it. The guide cared more about his tour group looking better than others. The tea break had a tiny jar of milk for everyone to share so my tea was very bitter. The guide seemed very scatter brained. The lake taupo tour includes photos,the main reason I chose to book it over others. Well it's been over a month of me emailing to see when I will get photos (the guide took photos of us with the carvings so I have none) and kept getting told they're coming when the guide gets back but he's off sick. My last email went unanswered. I kept reminding them because I'm sure the guide thought he sent them and deleted them.

We had a great kayak trip on Lake Taupo with Laura. It was a beautiful trip, the weather was great (unexpectedly) and the carvings were impressive. We stopped on the beach to enjoy the view with some tea and cookies, and enjoyed great conversation with Laura. At the end of our trip Laura sent us some pictures she took while on the water. Highly recommend!
