This spot is just a 10-min detour on the road from New Plymouth to Whanganui. Absolutely stunning, highly recommend for a different view of the mountain.

That’s one of the beautiful and nearest saddle from Stratford(taranaki) abt 20 mins drive and can pull over ur car and enjoy surrounding 360 beauty. Best place for photography and personal shoot to and not busy road too.

Didn't plan my way there and don't think I will for this location. But definitely it's a beautiful nature landscape and it's worth just to take a look and some photos if you happen to drive pass.
