Pleasantly surprised. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Canton truly delivers.I had a scoop of chips, 6 muscles, and a tarakihi burger. All of it was just perfect. The chips were golden, soft and fluffy but crispy with a good amount of salt, the muscles had a light airy batter which tasted clean and fresh. The tarakihi burger was simple yet delived a great flavour and taste and sometimes that is exactly what you need.I will definitely recommend and be back if I am in the area.

Their servings are slightly less compared with other shops but the taste is way better. I also noticed the fish n chips arent oily and more enjoyable to eat.

Stopped in for a vege chow mein while staying overnight in Hamilton. The dish was nicely prepared with fresh veges and plenty of flavor. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back when I am in town again.

Very disappointed. Chips was only enough for 1 person, fish had more batter then actual fish, the potato fritters were hard, the sweet and sour pork tasted like it was cooked in a rusty pan and old oil. The fried rice was probably the only good thing. Won't be back unfortunately.
