Great bookshop. Big range. I love taking some time to browse through the shelves.This shop has something for everyone - from the serious collector to the person just wanting a good novel to escape in.The owner, Jim, is a really knowledgeable guy. Loves to chat about books and authors, but if you'd prefer just to browse, he'll leave you to it.No trip to Port Chalmers is complete without a visit to Arcadia Books.

An amazing second hand bookstore in Port Chalmers! You'll need some time to work out how the books are arranged - I didn't work it out, to be honest. But, browsing was fun, and there were all sorts of little nooks and crannies with little treasures. Some great finds here!!

Old-skool bookstore stuffed with an endless variety of standard and quirky choices. No-pressure browsing, polite owner, great range of books. You could spend all day here.
