Love when there are educational values at places that we visit & dine in. Not necessarily more affordable than other seafood places along the state highway. But the mussels steamed in white wine offering was definitely refreshing & a pleaser.

Stopped here each time I did a road trip through the South Island to get crayfish for lunch. A lovely little shop with picnic tables nearby that you can watch the seals on the rocks from!

Our dinner was absolutely fantastic, we kept going on about how delicious the fish was. Our mussels were so tasty too. We'll be back to try the crayfish on our next trip for sure. Highly recommend

Owner was so lovely and the view was PICTURESQUE. All the food was incredible! I got the wine steamed mussels and a crayfish, both were very fresh.

Loved the food and the atmosphere" of having seafood in the outdoors - totally rocking the NZ vibes!Had the lobster with garlic butter and mussels in white wine. Totally loved both

The crayfish seems expensive at first but oh my god were they fresh, delicious and sweet. The prices of the crayfish are written directly on their shell so you can choose accordingly. I recommend going for the garlic butter cooked option, and to get the entire bug than just the crayfish tail.

We are driving towards Kaikoura on the coast looking for photo opportunities, food and toilet and we come to this establishment. Ticked all the boxes and easy off road parking so we stopped. The better half had fish & chips which were beautiful and fresh and I opted for mussels. These were cooked in wine and I have never tasted mussels as good as these anywhere, to die for. If you happen to be on this road in this vicinity regrets you won't have if you stop here.

Awesome place to try the famous New Zealand crayfish. We had one with garlic butter and it just tasted delicious! The fish & chips were also very good. The location is very nice directly near the ocean.

Amazing food, service and views.You choose the crayfish you’d like (prices are all labelled) and have the option of eating it cold or heated with garlic butter. We got the garlic butter option and it was great! Fish and chips were also really well fried.Service was really kind and she helpfully showed us the best way of eating the crayfish.The views are incredible. You can sit facing the ocean and it is beautiful.

Epic Fish & Chips and Mussels by the shorelines ! The shop keeper was super cool and friendly. They were very generous with their meat to flour ratio in the fish and chips. High recommend stopping by this little shop for a quick bite.
