Great stay! Tidy place. The guy at reception was very friendly and was flexible when we arrived past 10pm. He upgraded our room and the bed was soo comfortable! Sky sport and AC!

Really friendly staff. Excellent cheap little room for a break. TV, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. Booking in was the easiest I've ever had. It was -4° outside and the heater was on ready for our arrival. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Such good value for money!! The service was great, the owner was super chatty and friendly. It was freezing cold when we arrived but the new A/C in the room warmed the place up so fast. It was so cosy and the bed was really comfortable. Super clean and tidy, would definitely stay again.

The Waiouru Welcome Inn, lived up to its name, from the conversations asking questions to booking, to the service, they made us feel welcome the little touch of having a welcome drink to the clean, comfortable & spacious unit, was exactly what we needed...we have now found our new half way stop over place, thankyou, can't recommend more highly.

We had a incident with our car one evening and the lovely lady here gave us a warm cosy room until we sorted it. Hubby has also stayed here for work and has always been comfortable. Thankyou

We stopped here for an overnight stay as a break in our journey. The motel is easy to find as it is just off State Highway 1. We received a friendly welcome at reception and we're pleased with the room. We slept well and were refreshed for the next day's drive. A good place to choose for a break in a journey. Close to State Highway 49 and access to National Park and adventure activities.

The sorest motel I have stayed in last 7 years.We stayed one night on the way to Auckland, would never book again.The room is old and dark and not clean, some lights did not work. The second day 50 NZD was deducted from our bank account at the excuse that we took away the towel. Who wants to use the towel that been used hundreds times by others? ?? It is so ridiculous.

I’ve stayed here twice on my way from Wellington to Auckland to break up the drive. Sharon has been great both times, leaving my room ready with the light and heating on for a late arrival. Once I brought my dog which was great we had a nice room waiting with an area for him to have a sniff outside the room.The room is great size, comfy bed, heat pump and fully equipped kitchen. There was milk in the fridge for tea as well as a beer! The shower was very good, hot water and TV with channels. It was very comfortable and is great value. Easily could stay again and again as a good stop on a long drive.

My partner and I booked a room last minute and the owners were so lovely and quick and easy to deal with. Our room was tidy, clean, so much bigger than we expected, and very cosy. The heat pump in our room was really appreciated, as well as the complimentary milk and tea/coffee. The shower was nice and hot. The room had all sky channels including sky sports and movies. Free Wifi. The location was perfect - easy to find and walking distance to shops. It also has a primo view of Mt. Ruapehu. We will definitely be back to this place again to stay longer and will be suggesting this place to the rest of our family for our next family snow trip. A great value for money for sure.
