Had pork tenderloin katzu for lunch. $25 for reasonable portion pork cutlets served with rice, miso and cabbage. Pork tasted tender and fresh. They have many other combo options including curry and udon if you don’t like rice. Clean and comfortable seating arrangement inside. Japanese katzu restaurant is a rare find in Auckland. I would come back if I feel like katzu.

Worth the trip to cross the harbour bridge! Very good quality and still a very reasonable price, would recommend this place. Seating might be tricky since busy, but after 1.30pm alot more tables became free.

The food is extremely delicious with high quality presentation. The staff were fantastic particularly the woman who served us (Sat 1230) who was managing everything with great maturity, friendliness even under pressure of customers pouring in. Highly recommended to try.

The service and food items available here are very reminiscent of modern Korean tonkatsu restaurants; the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location, as well as the plating, are minimalistic and clean. Although the servings are plentiful for the price points, the quality of the side items that come with the tonkatsu has much room for improvement. The truffle salt, which at first seemed like a pretentious gimmick, is actually amazing, and we enjoyed the condiment very much.

Went out to have reasonably good dinner with family but only to be disappointed with the main dish. The pork loins were chopped to little pieces, the batter was coming right off the meat being soggy. Given them a verbal feedback but the chef couldn't be bothered. Sad to see a local favourite place losing their compassion.

The food is good for NZ standard. Probably the best pork katsu I have tasted in NZ.

Pork cutlet was crispy on the outside and moist and on the inside. I recommend pork tenderloin. Cold udon noodles were good, too.Chicken karaage has cornflakes on the outside, so it's very crispy on the outside but moist on the inside and the sauce served together was delicious.

My son and I got the cheese katsu and Karaage chicken, we both loved it. The meat was juicy and tender and it was nice and crispy on the outside. Really delicious. Staff were really friendly. We got there quite early around 11.45am so got a table straight away but after about half an hour it got really packed and people had to wait to get a table.

Taste: 8.8/10Decently priced menu. Clean and minimal interior, friendly staff and service. Although the price range is a bit higher than the general market serving similar type of food, the standard and quality is higher so it does feel like it is worth for what you pay. Crispy katsu batter with tender meat. The layout of the meal is nice with sauce condiment of grated wasabi, mustard and salt along with donkatsu sauce. Also inclusion miso soup and basic lettuce salad makes it well balanced and structured meal for a reasonable price.
