The Digital Darkroom Limited

Id dearly love to give a great review, and had planned on doing so from day one if all went well, but unfortunately I can only tell of my experience now.I actually cant get my head around how frustrating my nearly 4 month ordeal with the Digital Darkroom has been.From my initial phone call to make the appointment, to them finally completing a mistake-ridden job months later when it should have taken a couple weeks, the communication and follow through has been appalling.They were painfully slow to remedy a mistake they made that they said they would remedy several times. I was also initially given the wrong information, that cost me in time and money, and when I gave feedback about this there was no apology from either of the two involved. People skills are lacking.I had to push them to fix their own mistake or nothing would get done and I wouldnt have received what I went there for. I gave them weeks (several times), to fulfill what they said theyd do in a couple days, before calling them back to ask them if they could please follow through... which they didnt again... so Id call again..Yes some people may be lovely people, conversational, intellectual, highly skilled in niche areas, but if the job requirements and relational skills are neglected, to the point of pain for the customer, and if their word means nothing in their own eyes (in other words lying), then sorry I do not recommend the Digital Darkroom unless changes are made.I wish them the best, and hope theyre able to work on these things to become the thriving hub that customers need them to be.

Spoke to these guys and provided artwork on a Mon 11 Nov. Said they would get back to me in the next day or two. Didn't hear back so I called them again on Thurs. They apologized and said they would get back to me that afternoon with a quote. 6 weeks later and no callback, no email, nothing. Went to another company and got my print back the next day.

They are very efficient and fast. Excellent job!

I am tickle pink with the Digital Darkroom. I gave them a rather complicated job which others had told me was not possible to do. The Digital Darkroom not only welcomed the job they produced it so well it, i was over the moon. Thanks guys - will have some more jobs for you soon.

Jon is literally one of the nicest humans you will come across. Prides himself on his work and the results are stunning. Absolute pleasure to work with. Wifey loved the prints!

Made an appointment, advised I wanted to work with them on the look of some prints, get there, they have difficulty opening prints, tell me twice they are not RAW (they were), 15 mins later, still trying to view a DNG file - while not usual to have one of these, have had no trouble with other business. I was frustrated,. John asked to make another appointment, as he had another client in the shop. Told him I had specifically emailed what I wanted, for the third time. He told me to leave, so I did. Essentially not sure he knows what he is doing computer wise.. best option is to not waste my money or time

Really stoked with the Digital Darkroom. I was getting a large photo printed as a present but only had a vague idea of how I wanted it done. I was given expert advice, not only about the photo but framing as well and I couldn’t more happy with the finished product. Would highly recommend!
