!!!Buyer beware ……..if you have an accent you’ll get ripped off!!!My partner booked an appointment for an Oil Change with Vehicle & Tyre Services Cambridge, he received booking confirmation & a reminder.Yet when we arrived they said they had no record of his booking!They asked if we were local (YES), agreed to do the oil change, stating it would take 2 hours & they would text once done. (We usually get an oil change in Tauranga, it takes 20 minutes for under $100, but we decided to go local this time.)2 hours passed, no text. We returned to garage & were told the car was ready, she just had to get the keys (no mention of why there was no text). We waited a further half hour, only to see her retrieve the car keys from the vehicle to give to another staff member to move the car about 4 feet out into the parking area.She then thanked us for our patience & asked for payment of $277!When we queried why the amount due was so high, she reeled off a massive list of things that the mechanic had allegedly checked on our vehicle, including windscreen wipers, which they said were cracked. Funny considering they were replaced very recently and are definitely NOT cracked!! They also stated that the CB joints are cracked…..they are NOT!I queried why we should pay for all these extras when all we’d requested was an Oil Change? She said this was the “Basic Service” and “that’s how we do things here in New Zealand”.Not impressed, & would NOT recommend to anyone to use these people!!

Aidan, was great discussed what our car needed and suggested a full Service ! Fast and efficient with great communication and reasonably priced. the X'trail runs like a dream.. Thanks guys

Took my Toyota here for a service and warrant. Failed warrant because it was apparently whining and needed a new rear wheel hub. I couldnt hear anything. Couldn't afford it and was stressed because of the cost. Bought a hub at super cheap and took it to a mechanic. He said he could hear nothing and it looked fine. Took it to another testing station and it passed with flying colours. BEWARE. So much stress for nothing. Will be going somewhere else for a service next time. Anyone need a right rear wheel hub that cost me $230 ?Eyeroll

Beware they rip off people, just the real bad reviews from other customers. I luckily took my car out of this place on time as they wanted to charge me twice for a job next door mechanic did (700$ difference)

I’ve taken my cars here a few times now. I’ve always received good service. They get the job done on time and I’ve never been forced into any extras, neither have they done work that I didn’t want. Unless anything changes, I’ll keep visiting this garage in the future.

Under no circumstances should you use this vendor if you do NOT have a broad Kiwi accent AND they know you as a local to the area. On Monday I scheduled an oil change for my vehicle, I received a SMS message of the confirmation, on Tuesday I received another SMS message of the reminder. On Wednesday I arrive for the oil change and they were not aware of the scheduled oil change. The individual in the office asked me if I was a local resident of the neighbourhood and I stated yes. I am a Kiwi but I have lived in American for a while so I have an American accent. I returned two hours later and they charged me 277 dollars for the oil change. I asked specifically what was performed for the oil change. They said they performed a service of the vehicle and that was the “New Zealand way of doing things”. I should have driven to Oil Changers on Cameron Road in Tauranga where I used to live in Tauranga. I have a NZ passport for God sakes to prove that I am a Kiwi. You should not be so blatant as thinking you can screw someone financially you think isn’t a Kiwi. I am a Leamington resident.

I assume they are new owners, place used to be great to deal with but no longer... I guess customer service and communication is lost on them from the arrogant guy in the office who basically just grunts to the complete lack of explanation to any questions- No call/txt to say car was ready (waited all day)- No call/txt to notify something extra may need to be done (to save a trip in and possible return trip(s))- No quote estimate or cost when you arrive of the “extras” (lack of preparation / customer service)- No quote days later (how not to treat a long term customer)- Make you pay before telling you there are issues (they know they are trying to hide something)Also when a mechanic tells you they “feel this or feel that but have no facts you should be very concerned.. So suggest you find another company

What a horrible place. Booked for wof and left my car at 9am waited for 3hours. No contact(rang them an hour after said finished yet) went to the office at 12pm. hasn't started yet. Omg.Then why u make booking? Wasted my times. Never go there again.
