When I visited this place in 2022, it was amazing. Now the second visit after the flood (Feb 2023) sad to see that half of the falls were under the fallen trees and big rocks, flood has shifted it's original shape and beauty. Hopefully this place will be back to its glory soon!

I've always known this bush/reserve as hunters bush due to being on hunters rd. There's off rd parking no wheelchair access, 5-10 min walk down to the bottom stream what was once a knee deep rock pool had now disappeared due to cyclone Gabriel but there us a pool. Good for kids who like playing in the water and rocks

Lovely quiet reserve with a real old feel to it. Looks like something out of a fantasy novel.Track is muddy and slippery in places, not a good place for mobility devices. No public bathrooms or any other facilities.

Beautiful hidden walk, about 20-30 mins, through classic nz bush. Some stunning looking trees.

What a beautiful place! The waterfall is a surprise! There are tracks for an easy or challenging walk down to the pools. A deck for photos.

Gorgeous place! Very magical and definitely worth a visit. You start off with a short walk through a forest and then eventually come to the stream from the waterfalls, and it's truly a great sight. As you continue, you get closer to the waterfalls and you can see stones and trees covered in moss. The waterfalls are cascading, and very lovely to just stand and watch. Not very crowded (at least for us), so you could stay there for a while and admire the gorgeous piece of nature.

I travelled from central auckland to this reserve just to see some beautiful strem going through but the bush walk looked like this hasn't been touched for years, also there were two ways to go to the strem but both were closed! Inshort there's no way you can see stream , there should be markings at the start that its closed, it was waste of time and effort! Only a view that you walk past was alright.

What a spectacular waterfall. Sadly the recent floods of Jan 2023 had displaced much of the water fall's natural bathing pools bit it's still amazing. With gallons of water been flushed down rock crevices, it is an awesome place to enjoy nature's beauty. Carefullytred along, with the root tangles and rocks newly formed at the water bed, owing to the flood. Walk slow and carefully to avoid injury when in the fast flowing water. But all in all it's an awesome place to enjoy the cool of summer and indulge in nature's exquisite beauty.MUST VISIT ( Emphasised)
