Daiso Japan
Great discovery in Welly! Japanese story Daiso opens until 9pm, making shopping easier at the end of day. Thousands of items ranging from $3.50 or 3 for 10. We found mostly everything we wanted. Located in the CBD area, easy to reach for everywhere. If you are looking for small and large things for an affordable price, this is the place !

Daiso offers a very interesting and attractive shopping experience. They have different everyday household items to choose from - they sell a lot of diferent types of goods - mostly priced at NZ 3.50. I usually goes to Daiso and purchase a few products there. I lived 3 years in Japan so I am familiar with Daiso and its philosophy. Although I really enjoy visiting Daiso in Wellington, I think Daiso shops in Japan, even in Taiwan, are far better than the one here. They are bigger and offer more products that meet the diverse needs of shoppers - they always have something for everyone.

It’s great store especially considering that there isn’t many or any at all Japanese convenience stores nearby! The items are really cheap and affordable and the stock they offer is well-rounded.

I loved this store! It's full of Japanese products that would be difficult to find elsewhere. I also liked that it's open later than the other shops in Wellington and the assistant was nice too. They sell homewares, kitchen/baking equipment, camping products, stationery, beauty stuff, and that was just the half of the store that I explored. If you have half an hour to kill this would be a great place to wander around as there's so much to look at.

To those enjoying Japanese various items, this is a great place to be. Selling cute stuff in small packages starting at NZD 3.5, many items can be bought at NZD 10 for 3. There are items which are more expensive than that as well. You can get cute stationeries, Sanrio collections of many things, Japanese dinnerwares and kitchenware, accessories, cute pillows, storage items, cosmetics and more. You can also get those cute calenders that my kids love so much. The store might be a bit packed but it has clear signed of the racks and the items. They also have sale too. Good to check it out frequently

You're gonna love this shop!A place to know if you're new in Wellington! Here you can buy useful stuff for your home, office or picnic at a very good price. Stationary items, costume jewellery as well as some outdoor goods, drinks, and snacks are also available. Most items are priced 3.5 $; three for 10 $, but some items cost 5, 7, or 10 $ signed with a price tag.
