Seventhwave Wetsuits

I acquired a made to measure wetsuit a couple of months ago. It is epic. I've been wearing wetsuits for over 40 years and never experienced anything even half as good as my Seventhwave. The comfort factor is incredible (2/3mm) as is the warmth. My wetsuit fits so well I've not had any water trickling in...even when slamming into the water. My biggest regret is not getting one sooner. Staff in the shop really good. :)

A wonderful company! I absolutely recommend them for custom pieces. I have just had a titanium top and wetsuit shorts custom made for the yachting season and nothing is too much trouble. A friendly, helpful professional team who know their wetsuits and materials. My last custom pieces from Seventhwave were made over a decade ago and are still in such good condition! First time buying a wetsuit and was really happy to find a New Zealand owned and made company. I believe it’s important to support the locals and our economy.From the second I walked in the door I was welcomed immediately, I explained my situation not knowing what I needed and they figured out exactly what I did need for a winter wetsuit, with great explanation and knowledge I felt confident in my choice from their expertise and high quality of product. They also offered a custom fitting, and am now expecting my custom wetsuit in 10 days. All the staff were incredibly helpful and supportive and super friendly, especially Sarah the owner who took great care of me.Amazing service from everyone and highly recommend in coming here. After several years of buying cheaper big brand winter wet suits I finally bought a 4/3 Max Zirconium lined custom suit from Seventh Wave. Super warm - surfing middle of winter in Dunedin NZ with water temps around 9 degrees and can easily stay out 2 - 2.5hrs without getting cold (no under top). Also the best suit I've had for paddling. Feels slightly thicker than your normal 4/3. Drys super fast. Feels and looks made to last so I'm confident the extra cost will amortize over a few years.

Love these wetsuits! So well made and easy to get into and out of. The hood is making all the difference when theres a wind. You make swimming surfing fun.

My first venture into the world of Seventhwave wetsuits was a 3/3 zirconium custom suit. Amazing. Flexible and warm. Fitted perfectly. Warmer than a 5/4 hooded of imported brand giving me longer sessions and better paddling power.Then scored a 2/2 custom titanium. Excellent for everyday use spring thru Autumn. Super flexible high performance all rounder, This replaced a 4/3 foreign brand.Needing something for those warmer days I dropped in again and had a shorty 1.5mm made up for meAbsolutely brilliant number.That was my 2mm short sleeved imported made redundant.Have just completed the quiver with a 2/2 zirconium customWow this suit blew me away. It keeps me toasty in the middle of winter when the southerly blast freezer isn’t coming throughAnything with the zirconium treatment will enable longer session times and keep your body and extremities warm.Have just snagged a pair of their sea socks.These things ejected my booties to the bin. So much warmer and far better contact/ feel with the boardReally exceeded my expectationsAs far as my personal ‘shopping experience’. I had headed into town to try find a wetsuit thinking shops like Amazon, Ripcurl etc. would have some of the products they display on the websites. Nope not a single wetsuit could I find for my upcoming holiday in the cold southern lakes area. After hours of fruitless searching I turned to my phone and Ferrymead looked like my salvation, the traffic was so annoying and when I found this shop I thought I just don't care anymore: it is this shop or bust I am so fed up right now! I am so happy that none of the main stream" shops had wetsuits that day as my 3/3mm BZ Steamer was just excellent. When the kind lady told me it was on special at $499 I cringed inside as my budget was supposed to be $300

Seventh Wave (Max custom fit) wetsuits are my preferred choice (cold water surf) when compared to major brands (can't even compare with cheaper options).Add a friendly and prompt customer service with the repair services and the result is 4+ year use out of a wettie that's on the water 3 to 6 times a week.5 Star
