Central Park Motor Lodge

Very friendly staff, the rooms could certainly be cleaner, the windows were dirty, the room smelled musty to the point we bought a can of Glen 20 and sprayed the beds and curtains, actually the whole room. The best part was the shower.

Do not recommend at all. Wouldn't honor booking.com price said that particular room was booked now. Got here the whole place is basically empty exempt people living down stairs. They had a party lastnight under the motel and we're extremely loud. Microwave did not work... The room was filthy stains all over the carpet. Window latches broken so couldn't be closed. Bathroom was filthy.... Don't do it. We have 3 dogs which are extremely well behaved and never make a mess in any hotels. We were charged extra for a DEEP CLEAN" Afterwards... But the room was definitely not clean before we went in anyway so what's the point in charging this?? Don't recommend"

Definitely not a room to meet motel standards and for the price charged it's overpriced To the owners and the cleaners* The shower door plastic trim at the bottom does come off so it can be cleaned just push it down! It's currently green and has been for sometime.*The couch in the room is riddled with heavy stains and no amount of upholstery cleaner will remove them purchase an new couch or couch cover at least.*The tap in the bathroom sink needs fixed its extremely loose and dangerous.*The carpet needs a clean and an attempt to remove the visible stains.*The windows have a small build up of mould and dirt likely from condensation ,hot water and disinfectant will clean it*The toilet window handle was completely broken with no option of closing it.*In general the whole complex needs some serious maintenance and a full deep clean in units. The three rooms we passed to get to our room were of the same standard, people we spoke with in the carpark who were also guests mentioned their room being of poor cleanliness too as well as parking being an issue the poles stop medium and large vehicles parking . Reception closed from around4 30pm through til 730pm so we weren't able to pass on feedback and sadly there wouldn't have been any that could have been done for that evening .We will not stay again and advise everyone else reading this to look further down the road. Basic hygiene and cleanliness is not difficult especially when people are paying for a clean place to sleep. Step up guys given the covid world we are in it's terrible thankfully the service upon arrival was friendly .

If there was an option for less then 1 star I would give it. It was like this room wasn't cleaned between stays. Empty shampoo wrappers still in shower. Toilet brush not even in holder, straight on floor. Very unhygienic. The shower flooded the bathroom to the point I had to have the quickest shower of my life... without soap as wasn't provided one... besides the used one on the sink from previous guest's... the unit was clearly unvaccumed with a dirty sock under bed. The TV didn't even work and no milk provided so couldn't even sit, have a cuppa and watch tele. Crumbs on the bench, rubbish on TV cabinet. Animal hair on chair. Also couldn't see a smoke alarm. Worst part was, when booking I didn't have visa depit so he suggested holding a $300 bond when I said no way we agreed on holding my drivers licence untill room was quality checked next morning. Do not recommend!

Very comfortable and tidy rooms. I got a specious 1 bedroom and my children love it. Especially Netflix and unlimited cartoons. We enjoyed it and recommend it.

Beautiful place to stay. Definitely not the newest but very calm, spacious room and living.Very friendly and helpful staff!!

Definitely won’t be in a hurry to book here ever again.I had booked for a large group, for an event we were flying down to Christchurch for, but had received a message from owners, that we had to cancel our booking due to the property undergoing renovations during our time of stay, which I understood. But at this time finding accommodation for a large group was difficult.But not long after, I had received word that friends of ours had booked for the same dates and never received any messages about the property undergoing renovations and they are still able to stay at the property.Was very disappointed in finding this out as it feels like we have been lied to and pushed out so that prices could have been raised, due to this specific event happened during our dates.

Central Park is in a great spot. Plenty of parkin and places to eat close by. Just needed a little attention to general maintenance and the little niceties. We only had 1 face cloth in our unit. The bathroom power point was cracked and dangerous. There was the bare minimum of everything.

Good location close to park and mall, but not overly clean. Beds are comfy, tv is good, but would benefit from a more through servicing. Bathroom/shower was really really good (and clean)...so would recommend if just staying for one night as a short stopover/transit location. Close to road so some traffic noise, but not intrusive.

PLEASE RESPOND TO EMAIL REGARDING DOUBLE CHARGE. Have emailed twice now regarding charge from March. $700 is not a small sum…Will edit review accordingly when I eventually get a response.
