I was really like this restaurant. However we got terrified situation. some of my family do not want corriander so we asked favor coriander on the side" and pic said corriander inside all of menu. staff said " sorry but we can not remove corriander cos you guys were busy". I can not understand it was not our fault but we need to remove all of corriander ourself. Why? staff said it is not big deal to remove corriander. hmmm good choice for sevice and you guys fault. Corriander smells still around all of dishes. thank you for your service. Today i showed this restaurant to my family because we loved.Ex) corriander on the side means not that it is extra charge for adding corriander guys."

Basu Lounge Browns Bay
We are regular customers and our orders are always consistent and generous for the price. Service is with a smile and cost very reasonable. The dumplings are huge and very tasty! The noodles are wonderful. Haven't tried the rice yet because we love the noodles and dumplings so much. The broth is very tasty. Highly recommended!

Hands down favourite dumplings in the whole wide world has to be the pork and chive in spicy sauce. Their ‘hot’ is not to be underestimated, but even though it burns a little for me it’s well worth it.Dan dan noodles a nice accompaniment to the dumplings but not a must. Portion sizes are huge so always go for the Small if in doubt.Fell in love with the original Basu Lounge in Takapuna but I really rate their Browns Bay location more.

First thing comes to my mind is that it is spacious & comfortable than the first branch that is on takapuna. Friendly staff & undoubtedly massive menu.Food is great! Basu make killer veg dumplings. A must try place.Parking could be a challenge sometimes. Bus stop nearby.

Amazing Sichuan style noodles and dumplings. Food was served with a generous portion and inexpensive price. Relatively low wait time as well if you are after quick Sichuan style lunch/dinner you can not go wrong with this place.Must try the beef noodle and chicken dumplings. Do be careful with the spiciness level because it was even mild was HOT.

I don't usually like to give low ratings but the noodles I ordered they first forgot to add the pork mince and it was mixed very well. It was also definitely more spicy than what medium should be, I know you might think that's just me but I eat spicy food all the time and that definitely wasn't enjoyable.The dumplings were actually pretty good though at least.I appreciate the effort the staff put in to fix the issue but I just can't say I was satisfied with the food or experience.

Best wonton noodle I have had, ever. The medium spice was perfect for me (other people might find it a little spicy). Very generous portion sizes. Only little niggle I feel they should have had some napkins on the table, instead of going back to the main counter to get themThe staff are nice and friendly and not in your face which made the experience more enjoyable for me. Everything is clean and tidy.I will be back to try there dumplings

The Dandan Noodle is totally different from I had before for other places. I do want to question the authenticity. The portion are generous except for the cucumber salad. The smallest I ever had in Auckland. The noodles are kind of sticky.

Been coming to Basu in Browns Bay with my partner for a good 6 Years, so flavorful and great portions. We bring our friend's here and they absolutely love it and come back here when they are in town. My favorite is the stewed pork noodle soup (Med spice for me I enjoy spicy), sweet and sour pork and pork and chive dumplings. Always look forward to coming here, the staff are super friendly. Thank you!
