A very down to earth staff and it feels like home immediately. Despite being in a heritage house the facilities are modern where it counts while still maintaining the charm. Unbeatable location within walking distance of the CBD and some of Christchurch’s main attractions. Great and convenient breakfast.

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Orari. So lovely to be able to enjoy elegant, beautiful, historic accomodation walking distance to the city centre. Our room beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We're about to book our second stay.

Very handy location for this classic villa. Good off street carparking.we enjoyed staying at this property for 4 nights but there was a few things we were not so happy with. No fridge in the room was dissapointing. The first breakfast was very good with plenty of choices but this got progressively worse as supplies run out and every day there was less choice on some items. Also we had a day that the room was not cleaned despite there being only 2 rooms being used. We were in dining area having breakfast less than 10 meters from our room door but were not asked if we required room cleaning. Overall the stay was reasonably good value for money and some minor attention to details would make this property a 5 star

Beautiful place to stay! Rooms were gorgeous and extremely well kept. The dining and lounging area was homey, and staff even provided snacks and drinks throughout the day. I would highly recommend staying here when you’re in Christchurch.

Received a very friendly warm welcome, made to feel at home as soon as you step through the door. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice. Walking distance to the city centre attractions and amenities. On the whole very enjoyable experience.

Nice English Craftmen style home converted into a B&B.Great location in the arts district. Short walks to the Botanical Gardens, Avon River and many dining opportunities.Breakfast is served in a well appointed dining room. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay immensely and wish we had more time to explore Christchurch.

Lovely historic boutique hotel, and the perfect location for exploring Christchurch - right near the botanics, Avon and art galleries. Included breakfast and happy hour wine, which was lovely, and staff were very attentive and friendly. This is an old home, so you can hear a bit more than you may in other spots, like footsteps/conversations above or in the room next door, but this is a small price to pay for the charm of a beautifully kept property. Only bonus would be a mini fridge in the room. Would love to come back to Orari!

We were greeted on our arrival by Julie who is very welcoming. A beautiful Victorian house right in the heart of Christchurch. We could walk everywhere which was great. We highly recommend Orari and will definitely stay here again. Our room was beautiful and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast especially the gluten free granola! Parking is very easy too. Thank you

A beautiful place to stay with a boarding house feel. Very helpful hostess with lots of local info. Be sure to try her home-made black garlic mustard!
