A favourite quirky and beautiful wee street in the heart of ChCh with some great shops, food and bars. Would have been 5 star rating but some of the places for food are better suited to a mall food court than the otherwise eclectic mix of interesting options.

So nice to still have this heritage area in Christchurch ... a lovely change from the square, glass buildings that fill ChCh post-earthquakes.I went to purchase my new specs frames, and have my eyes tested at GROOVY GLASSES.Wonderful choice of frames from the quirky and professional staff. Worth going in just for a browse.

Love those historical buildings. However, the road is too narrow, pedestrians and the restaurant customers need to be pay extra attention while the tram goes past at busy time.

We went pretty late there on Thursday. Yummy ice creams and nice hot chocolate. If all the cafe are close and your are up for somewhere for coffee and nice hot chocolate that’s the place. Stuff was very nice and helpful. We sat upstairs. Beautiful European style vibe.
