A small restaurant with a lovely unit table. Friendly staff and quick service. The gyoza and Sashimi were nice. The Tempura was excellent. :))

The fried ingredients in the sushi roll were hot and crispy so the food's definitely made to order. Decent quality Japanese food! Will definitely return.

Been here multiple times and always happy with the quality of food! Love the spider tempura and sashimi. Lovely atmosphere as well.

Amazing food and service. It is my favourite place to eat. Food is always of a high standard, from soft shell crab, to beef tataki, to dumplings. Never disappointed by a meal at Unkai.

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Auckland in my opinion! The chef who makes the sushi is very professional! The sashimi is great too, the salmon is fresh and the best parts are used! The beef donburi is especially good, the meat is so creamy and the sauce is so sweet! I would love to come back!
