I would like to take the time to say a huge thanks to John for making the time to listen to my 'out of the blue' frustrated call during his busy schedule. I am now living in Wellington. In 2021 I bought a standard Kia Stonic (from Kia Westgate), I wasn't aware this model did not come with a Warranty service plan. I took it to a Wellington Kia dealer to get it serviced only to be told that I would have to pay for the service because the was no Warranty service plan with my Kia. At the time I felt pressured, and I became stressed because I was caught unaware. I cancelled the service to give myself a chance to take 'time out' to think about what to do next. I rang the Westgate Kia and tried to get an explanation about why I had not been made aware. I received the scripted reply that this model does not have a Warranty Plan, and I could have it added for a cost.I would like to explain I understood that inevitably I was going to pay for a warranty service plan. I just wanted to understand why I wasn't made aware of this situation when I purchased the vehicle. This is 3rd vehicle I have bought from West City Auto Group, and I have always had excellent service & follow up service from the team. I now understand my other 2 vehicles had Warranty service plans included in the contract.I want to also share that in May I had an accident, I fell and hit the floor hard. I suffered delayed brain trauma which influenced my agitated mood (confirmed by my ACC Concussion Team) when I rang John (I apologise for this). Thank goodness this diagnosis is going to heal.I want to say thanks again John, you remembered me, and you listened and heard me. John reassured me he would follow it up and he would give me a ring back to let me know what I could do next. It felt like he rang back within half an hour. He apologised for the situation and let me know because I have been a long-time customer, he will pay for my Warranty service plan to be added to my Kia Stonic. I was stunned, I thanked him as our call ended. I had been prepared to pay it myself. Yes folks, I sat in my Kia Stonic and cried. When I felt vulnerable (with brain trauma mood swings) John took the time to hear and listen to me, now folks that is above and beyond customer service, especially in these fluctuating times. We had a wonderful experience at West City Westgate dealership. All employees were very helpful and friendly irrespective of who was actually selling the vehicle. The team is very knowledgeable about the different models which makes a pleasant change. Great teamwork in this dealership results in excellent customer service and no request was too complicated or considered an annoyance.We arrived for test drive and car was ready and waiting at the door for us. Our sales person Steven was serving someone else so another sales person helped us and got us out on the road.We can't recommend this dealership enough. Absolutely love our new Kia! :-)

My mother took a 2017 Kia in for a WOF, the Henderson service department failed it due to brakes being worn. Quoted brake change out at $1600. Took car to VTNZ, car went straight through and the inspector made note that brakes were not worn. Breaks are silent when in use., This business is taking advantage of people for more work. Bad business, will be going elsewhere in future.
