Beautiful. Clean, quiet, in the middle of a beautiful garden and steps from the beach. Waves and bird sounds in the morning. Great info from host. Full kitchen and the neighbouring corner store allowed us to cook for ourselves.

Great place to stay. All that you need. Very good kitchen facilities. Beds very comfortable. Just a few steps onto the sand with a fine view of the Hokianga sand dunes across the water. Peaceful.

We spent five nights at Christmas at the cottage. Great accommodation, beautiful setting, so quiet and peaceful. Wonderful to wake up in the morning and look out from the lounge to see the sand dune on the northern headland of the Hokianga Harbour. Just a tip for those staying a few days - we noticed from the photos that the cottage doesn't have an oven and it being Christmas we wanted to do some cooking so brought our own mini oven from home. The owners Doug and Leonie McKenzie live in the main house on the site. We found them friendly and helpful. Thanks Doug and Leonie for having us stay in your special part of Omapere.

A very comfortable place to stay, we had 3 nights to relax listening to the waves crash on the shore just at the bottom of the lane.
