Hapuku Lodge + Tree Houses

What a special experience.The lodge is owned by a family of kiwi architects, and you can certainly tell from the level of detail in the rooms. We stayed at the treehouse and I would highly recommend this option if budget allows. You feel isolated from everyone else, yet facilities are a stone’s throw away.The service is exemplary. We made a mistake in the date of our booking and were freaking out about it, but this was easily fixed by the front desk. Special thanks to Benny for his warmth.Finally, dinner and breakfast were included in our room rate. The food were delicious and so beautifully plated.This is a place we would return to in the future.

A wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. The lodge suite was lovely and comfortable. Staff were all lovely and made us very welcome and special. The food was excellent. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

Everything about this place is excellent. The quality of the accommodation and service is amazing. The food is outstanding and we were left wanting nothing. The staff do everything possible to make the stay enjoyable. The location just outside Kaikoura is a great base for all sorts of activities or just a perfect spot to be still and relax. We used the spa and sauna and dipped in the pool. They also have lovely grounds that are well worth a wander around. Top class venue and fairly priced.

We stayed here three nights and it was a delightful experience. The team are super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating with a few extras and changes to suit preferences.The rooms are very well appointed, have a really nice feel and an absolutely amazing outlook! I would definitely stay here again.

This accommodation blew my mind. It was beyond my expectations. The design, quality and comfort, service, food; just amazing. Thank you to Mike and his team for making it perfect on every way. We can't wait to return in the future.

This is a fabulous place! We had a treehouse which looked toward the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. From the minute we arrived we were on a high. The staff that greeted us were cheery, well trained and cared about us. The room was one of the most memorable we have been too. There are lots of lovely touches in the room like home baked cookies, bath salts, relaxing chairs to sit and look at the views, a real flame fire to make it cozy. Fantastic big bed. All so relaxing.Dinner was good too, nicely prepared local ingredients in a well thought out tasting menu. We sat and watched the chefs cook while we waited for our starters and sipped some Marlborough Sav. Pretty close to perfect.

Beautiful property. We stayed in a TreeHouse room and there were 360° views of the sea and mountains. The rooms were superbly appointed and the food and staff at the restaurant were excellent. Beautiful fresh produce some of which were even grown in their gardens.

Really enjoyed our experience staying in one of the treehouse rooms. Such a beautiful and unique stay. Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and they were very accommodating of dietary restrictions.
