Stopped by to eat in. You enter through the takeaway area first and then proceed into the restaurant. After getting seated got menus and water. Even though it was quite busy, it didn't take too long to get the attention of the waitress to order.I quite liked the mango lassi but I did find it quite thick. The onion bhaji were ok, I thought that it might've been a bit undercooked in the middle since it was a bit soggy. It did have a nice flavour. I had the chicken methi malai with rice and roti. The curry was nice and flavourful. I also liked the consistency of it so it went well with both the rice and the roti. The rice had to be ordered separately from the curry though.Really nice food and really good service.

Excellent food that was full of flavour. We went on a particularly busy evening and all seven of our dishes were ready quickly. The dine in area could do with a revamp and some order numbers on receipts would go a long way.

An amazing experience at Magic Chilli Indian, impressed by the quality of food especially in a small town, great portion sizes and the curries are packed with ingredients. Friendly service and all. There can be long wait times but this is all worth it for the food, which is the best Indian I've had in a long time. Good options for vegan customers and customers with dietary requirements. It was so good that we ate here two nights in a row.

The curries were very bland. The meat (chicken and lamb) tasted like it was precooked and added to the sauce to reheat. The chicken appeared to be breast and not thigh like most India restaurants. The naan bread was over cooked. I would not go back.

Delicious Indian food. Tried their mango chicken and madras chicken. Service can be slow and the plastic spoons can be annoying to use

Ignore the reviews of this place that say it's mediocre. The curries were cooked from scratch and amazing. We'd done the Tongariro crossing that day and headed straight there. The food totally hit the spot. I make a lot of curry at home and am really fussy, and this place totally got my vote. Would definitely go back! 9½/10 (lost half a point because we couldn't eat in) .
