Luna Bar and Restaurant
Great view, good service but disappointing food. I ordered big breakfast and it was not big comparedto other restaurants and not presentable. The taste were standard and the bacon was too salty. I also ordered smoked salmon and you can see in my picture how it looks. The management are welcome to improve and I can change my review if improved.

Luna Bar and Restaurant
This review is a bit late. Our walking group had a Christmas lunch & were given an upstairs table. Friendly, smiling & very efficient service of delicious food. We ordered a good variety of different meals and all were thoroughly enjoyed. Great value for money. Interesting range of drinks too. Various members of my family regularly eat at Luna and it is consistently excellent.

Our meal was great, Ribeye was cooked to my liking. The young lady who greeted me at the bar on arrival was really friendly and helpful with the birthday cake I'd brought in.Unfortunately the male waiter we had during the evening didn't serve us unless we went and asked staffed to take our order. I'm not sure if we were ignored because we had a significant amount of group members not show due to sickness. As soon as we knew we let them know and asked if we needed to move to a smaller table. Not once we're we check in on or asked if we wanted drinks etc

Unpleasant experience brunch in this restaurant. The food was under our expectations. The smoked salmon looks not fresh and messy presentation, also the Big Breakfast, as you can see on my picture, the tomato and mushroom looks mushy, salty sausage, and again very bad presentation. They forgot to put the hasbrown onto the plate and they gave us separately. The portion of Big Breakfast wasn't present as Big Breakfast should be. The bread taste not toasted. When we paid, the staff asked us how was the food, and we said we were disappointed and she has no response of it. Well, they really should more sensitive with customers and care about the services. Not only selling the view. I wouldn't go back there anymore.

I had a wonderful extended lunch here. First, the views here are possibly the best in Dunedin, with an outlook over the city, the harbour, the peninsula, and the Pacific ocean on the coast. Second, the food and coffee was great. I had eggs benedict with bacon, and a few coffees, and later a dessert of apple and berry crumble.The staff were very helpful too, accommodating my desire to have a quiet spot to read a book as well as eating of course.I will definitely be coming back here.

Lovely location and great view of Dunedin though parking is a bit of a pain.We ordered three mains and three desserts. While every dish was well portioned and flavoured I didn't think it was anything spectacular. The food was solid and safe.A good place for a family meal or a date over looking Dunedin.

We booked Luna Bar for our small wedding and we were absolutely blown away with how generous and accommodating management was.The views of Dunedin are amazing, everybody absolutely loved their food (We all decided we would all go back to Dunedin just to have the duck again!). The staff were friendly, and we had an amazing time.We were also rained out of our original wedding venue, and we were so appreciative when they offered the beautiful room upstairs to do the ceremony.We honestly couldn't have asked for more, and if I had the skills to write a better review I would :)
