Highly Recommend seeing Olivia Smart, especially if you suffer with Endometriosis. I have had multiple surgeries with Olivia and each one of them have been fantastic. After multiple doctors told me my pain was just in my head Olivia really listens and understood what i was going through. She has done everything she can to help me.She also has a very welcoming energy and is one of the best doctors i have had. Couldn't recommend her enough.

Rang the reception asking for information and the lady was really rude. She shut me down with one word and hung up the phone...People don't ask questions if they knew answers to everything. Just try to be kind.

If you’re considering Ben sharp as an obstitriton or for woman’s issues he’s Unbelievable and so experienced. I didn’t quite get the importance of having an obstitriton as an older mum but I credit the health of me and my babies after premature births to him. He’s kind, caring, experienced and professional and amazing at his job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I do not recommend Dr Chris Spencer, I paid a lot of money because i was worried after a difficult first labour that I would have trouble again and I wanted a c section but he said I was fine. I barely saw him and he wasn’t even available for the birth. Anyway I did end up having a difficult birth again and now suffer from a range of issues in that area.

Amazing surgeon and support team. Walked into the operation room at 8am for a hysterectomy and by 11am I was doing laps of the hospital halls. You guys are amazing.

We highly recommend using Ben as an obstetrician. His skills and expertise were second to none and ensured that we had a safe and smooth delivery of our baby. He should be top of the list for any pregnant woman in Christchurch. We feel very fortunate to have been under his care.

Awful experience today on the phone. Before I finalised my prescription request, the nurse on the phone with a rude tone of voice just said NO..in fact she was thinking that I was requesting a prescription for something completely different. I understand the reasons explained, I just feel that you should listen the request before you reply and analyse if the request in cause needs a GP..and be more gentle, please. overall I will be travelling without acid folic and iron pills, and to avoid to stay more than 1 month without taking those I will need to ask a prescription when I arrive to my destination.

Arriving in New Zealand less than 2 weeks ago, my wife and I faced a difficult situation. She found out on her first day that she needed an urgent surgery for a precursor to cervical cancer. However, she wasn't eligible for the NZ public health system, nor did she have travel insurance (we incorrectly believed she would be covered since she is married to me, a NZ citizen via birth.)Cue the (failed) attempts to visit GPs, to enroll, to translate her Portuguese medical records - it was like hitting our heads against a brick wall, until we came to Oxford. To start with, unlike almost everywhere else we visited they were willing to accomodate her without a referral from a NZ-based doctor. This gave us hope of actually being able to stay in NZ, plus saved us from the unnecessary use of time and money that seeing a GP would have been.On our first visit, we were originally attended by a lovely nurse named Jan who clearly laid out all the possible costs we could expect for the surgery, testing, and follow-ups, from best to worst scenarios. She also put us at ease, letting us know the good news - that it wasn't cancer yet, and that while surgery should be done urgently, it would take a long time to become cancer if untreated. When we decided to go forward with my wife's treatment, we then were attended by Richard Dover, who was fantastic. He was professional and knowledgeable, yet put us at ease with his friendly attitude and sense of humor. He was gentle during the consult -- I could see that he was skilled at making an otherwise painful experience as comfortable as it can be.We both left with the sense that both Richard and Jan truly cared about her and wanted the best for her. We really appreciated that.

Chris Spencer was my Obstetrician throughoutmy pregnancy. Having previously had a Caesarean birth and living a long distance from from the hospital left us with no choice but to have a hospital birth. Unfortunately Mr Spencer was unwell when I went into labour and we had never been introduced to his back up. Very sad to report that the Obstetrician that did attend my daughter’s birth from this practice, was incredibly disrespectful. It could have been such a positive experience because the birth itself was very straight forward.I would recommend Mr Spencer again but urge you to meet you back up doctor and write up birth plan. Lack of informed consent and outdated practice of coached pushing was very upsetting.
