Sunrise eBikes Waiheke

Great experience renting from Jo at sunrise bikes! Jo met me at the ferry, gave me recommendations, was very accommodating with timing, and even gave me a jacket for the rain. And an ebike is the perfect way to see the island with some flexibility. Highly recommend!

One of the best services we have ever bought while on holiday. Jo and Wim dropped the bikes to our hotel and even took out bags to the harbour for us. The bikes were in exceptional condition and they gave us great tips for cycling around waiheke. Would highly recommend

Jo was great, with only a few days prior to our arrival on the island she was able to reserve 3 ebikes and met us at the ferry for both pickup and drop off. The bikes had plenty of charge for the day and got us up hills we would have never been able to do without them. Scenery is amazing and if it's summer you may think about bringing swimwear since the island has some great beaches!

We had a fantastic experience with Jo and the team from start to finish. The communication throughout the whole booking and planning process was quick, efficient and super helpful. We told her what we were interested in, and she pointed us in the way to go. The bikes were great - good quality brand, in good condition and perfect for tackling the big hills Waiheke has to offer. Jo was absolutely amazing. She actually let us know that the weather forecast for the day had changed to heavy rain/thunderstorms and asked whether we still wanted to go ahead with our planned bike hire. We decided to cancel and she gave us a full refund.If you want to support a local business with exceptional customer service then you can’t go wrong with Sunrise ebikes. We will definitely be booking with them again on a day when the weather picks up.

Called them on a Sunday(!) at 9am and they delivered the bikes by 10.30am to our accommodation. Jo & Co. couldn't have been more helpful and the brand new tourer bikes were perfect for the island.

We booked for the weekend and everything people say about e-bikes on Waiheke is true, this is the best way to explore the island.The bikes were excellent, friendliness next level and service world class.Hands down some of the nicest people we've met on our travels. What a fabulous way to spend the day exploring Waiheke! We had never used ebikes before but Jo patiently explained everything. You definitely need an ebike on the island considering all the hills. The bikes are super sturdy and I'm not the strongest biker, but I found it quite manageable. We had brunch at Palm Beach, visited 2 wineries, ate gelato and enjoyed all the beautiful sites in between. I can't say enough about the high level of service provided by Jo. She was incredibly responsive, detailed and organized. She met us at the ferry and provided everything needed in addition to the bikes ... island map (along with great suggestions), helmets, bike lock, and a small storage bag. We absolutely would repeat this adventure! Thanks for a great day, Jo!
