Cheese burger with no cheese, pāua fritter so gritty it was inedible, fish looked grey and was not nice eating but best of all was short of chicken nuggets ordered for the children. Went back and were told we were liars, the nuggets were there, bring back the food to prove they weren’t there. What? Bizzare. Not worth arguing, ordered more but they were so heavily salted they were inedible.

the fish was amazing and the garlic chips were, without doubt, the best chips we have ever had. the kumara chips were delicious and the whole meal was provided wrapped up in real newspaper, which was a novelty we haven't seen in years.

Chips were great but disappointed with our fish. We asked for Gurnard but the fillets were pretty big for gurnard. It didn’t taste fresh.

Great fish and chips place in the Kawhia harbour. Nice food and quick service. The place to go in town for a nice feed. The location is great and the lemn fish F&C tasted great.

Shop was super busy this evening but the food was well worth the wait! Burgers are delicious and we highly enjoyed them. Fish was limited due to selling out of everything except fish of the day. Service was slow but that was only due to demand and the staff were polite and lovely to deal with. We shared a scoop of chips between 3 adults - easy!

Worst tasting fish ever! Not fresh, brown in colour, missed our 6 nuggets. But they insisted they were in there but in the end gave us a refund on the xtra 6 nuggets we brought. Right by the water you would expect the fish to be fresh.
