Mrs Woolly's General Store

A local shop that combines coffee, groceries and souvenirs is nice decorated with many interesting little gifts. They sale many things here. It's right at the entrance to the Glenorchy Wharf. Plenty of parking. The row of toilets on the side of the store.

Fun place! The charming logo on the sign of a sheep sipping from a coffee cup was enough to get me to stop, and I’m glad I did. We got a cheese scone and apple strudel, both heated, along with coffees, and everything was delicious! After eating, we enjoyed wandering through the store admiring the art and the goods for sale. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular.

The pies! Best breakfast ever! We came back later for coffee and cake while sitting reading in the leather chairs from Jane Campion's movie The power of the dog. Perfect!

I gave 5 stars because the pies here were super delicious. We had a chicken pie with mushrooms and a pork belly one.

Went out to Glenorchy and did two walks/hikes. Was feeling the need to rehydrate and have something to eat.Called into Mrs Woolly's General Store and Gallery, was I in for a surprise. The array of delicious, scrumptious kai available in the cabinet was mouth watering. I could have bought sooo much.Along with the ka pai kai and kāwhe was a store filled with an amazing amount of products and items. The Gallery was amazing too and if I hadn't been traveling in a small Caravan would definitely have considered buying a piece or two.So glad I called in, made the end of an awesome day even better. I must add, the customer service was fantastic, made to feel welcome and right at home. If your in or passing thru Glenorchy, definitely worth a visit.

It was so nice here!! We arrived around 1:30 and unfortunately the veg pie was already sold out, but there were several other vegan and vegetarian options. We ended up having the vegan wrap with jackfruit and it was delicious!! The mocha was outstanding, great coffee overall. The cheese scone was really crumbly and flavourful too. Lots of parking, including an EV charging station, all sorts of gifts and produce inside too. Also the food was served so hot and so quickly, it was amazing.Oftentimes with places like this that have a very captive audience they don't bother putting in the effort but that's not the case here, you can tell they really care about what they do. Would definitely return.

I enjoyed my visit here. Staff is very welcoming. The veg pie is great. The store is clean and very inviting. If you're on your way to Glenorchy, this is a definite stop.

Love the food & vibe of this place. They have a good vegan options as well. It’s like too many stores under one roof and the staff is managing it like pros. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
