Evolution Fitness 24hr Gym

I had a great experience with the Evolution Gym in Whitianga while staying in the region during my holidays away from Auckland. The staff is very friendly and the gym equipment is world class. They are by far the best gym in Coromandel. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Dropped in for the Tuesday night Bjj class for some rolls while traveling the area. Awesome new set up, super clean and really welcoming group. Stop in for some rolls if you’re passing through

I visited Evolution Fitness a few times during a short-lived (due to COVID-19 lockdown) distant work placement I had in Whitianga.On first arrival I was met by Buddy, a friendly and charming man seated at the front desk who gave me a warm welcome to the town and was very helpful and considerate in setting me up at the gym.I only had experience in the large room using free weights and machines. The equipment was high quality and obviously well looked after (relevant to the gym as a whole). I visited in the morning and found no trouble with gaining access to / waiting for equipment. The energy in the gym was great, and I actually hit a few PR's being in and around the other gym users who were focused but also very friendly. They have other martial art services and spaces available but I was not able to get involved before the lockdown.I highly recommend this gym to all who are contemplating a visit, you certainly won't regret being there.

Absolutely loved going to this gym.. my first time here and the experience was great. Small friendly space which is locally owned and operated. I also learned its a family run business which i love over those big metro corporation type gyms. Buddy the owner was helpful and very knowledgeable about physical fitness and nutrition tips. He took the time to ensure i felt very welcome at the gym.Looking forward to this becoming my regular gym for all my workouts. Totally pumped to try out their new HIIT classes too as i love the group style classes!

Attended jiu jitsu classes while passing through Whitianga. Would recommend anyone passing through to drop in. The team there were very welcoming

Our son has just started his journey with Toa Martial Arts, it is such an amazing space and the instructors are next level awesome!! Never seen so many happy kids learning self discipline and respect (and a certain set of skills) whilst enjoying every minute :)
