Best photography tour ever!!Fabulous experience with Glen! I had a custom tour made up of two half day tours and it was worth every second!The first part was to Glenorchy for sunrise and then to Skippers Canyon for sunset - highly recommended these two tours for the beautiful landscapes. Glen was really helpful throughout the whole day, giving me tips and teaching me new things about my camera and setting up my image. He was a wonderful host and definitely coming back on another tour in the future!!

We went on Glen's Skippers Canyon Sunset Tour. We had a great time, learned a lot and captured some great photos. Don't miss this adventurous outing.

The half day private Glenorchy photography workshop with Glen was memorable. He was that combination of flexible and focused on what I wanted to accomplish for the evening and tuned into the lighting conditions and the affect on images. The results were just what I wanted, and the evening included great conversations and photography tips.I had scheduled a second half day sunset workshop with Glen the following day to Skippers Canyon. It was also memorable. The conversations, the photography tips and the focus on what I wanted to accomplish were the same, as were the quality of my images, thanks to Glen. And, considering the weather, his knowledge definitely came in handy!Nevis Valley and a sunrise tour are on my list for the future!

The BEST photographic tour ever!The scenery in the Southern Lakes region is a photographer's paradise, but without someone to point out the best locations, finding them would be a mission. Glen is not only an excellent and experienced photographer, but his knowledge of the area and willingness to go above and beyond all expectations was simply amazing. I had so much fun and took so many beautiful images that after the morning tour, I immediately signed up for Glen's afternoon tour! What a day! Needless to say, I saw sights I had never seen before and enjoyed myself so much that I am booking another tour in November. Glen is an exceptionally nice guy and you simply won't do better than spending either a half, or better still, full day enjoying fantastic scenery and great company. My advise, if you get the opportunity to join Glen for one of his tours, DO NOT pass it up! Dean

Fabulous half day private photography tour of Glenorchy - DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE! Glen Howey picked me up at my hotel at 5:30am & we got to the river by dawn...the whole mountain range was about to turn pink.. Glen is an artist and a soulful intelligent fun guide who knows & loves New Zealand...he knows how to help YOU take a photograph you'll treasure...I used my IPHONE to take photos & he gave me so many tips...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My two tours with Glen; sunset in Skipper Valley, followed by sunrise in Glenorchy, were one of the key highlights of my 5 week trip in NZ. Glen works hard to ensure you get the most out of a tour while his easy going laid back style makes for a fun engagement. Very passionate about his craft and generous with sharing his knowledge on image taking in some stunning locations. As a follow-up I engaged Glen remotely from Ireland in a couple of Advanced Lightroom processing sessions using the images taken on the tours as the subject matter - got some great tips for creating compelling images. My plan is to regularly engage Glen in refresh sessions

I was lucky enough to have a solo tour to Glenorchy and nearby with Glen. Glen was genuinely focused on what I wanted to achieve from the day, and had multiple options of locations to select from. He really knows the area so well, and was able to have us in great locations for the conditions. He knows cameras, equipment and photography techniques well, and provided advice, tips and techniques that I have used again and again. He was also great fun to hang out with! I am determined to head south again to do the Nevis Valley tour in future.

Skippers Canyon photo tour. I had a great time on this tour as I was solo and it was great to spend a few hours with Glen being taken to Skippers Canyon in the late afternoon sunset. It was a beautiful day and quite cloudy and Glen knew the best places to stop for photos and because it was a private tour we were able to stop anywhere we saw any good other photo opps. Because we had left Queenstown at 4.30 pm most of the other tours had left or were leaving and we passed them on our way in only about 2 kms from the start and the rest of the time we were on our own. The light was just beautiful and the Canyon was quite spectacular in the golden hour light. It is extremely rugged and much of the way a one lane dirt road with sheer drop offs on one side of the road so it was nice to be in a Toyota Landcruiser with a competent driver who knew the road well. We reached the top of the pass on the way home just in time to photograph the colours on the clouds overlooking the Arrowtown - Queenstown valley.

Glen was a great guide! I first found him on Viator, but ended scheduling directly with him, which I recommend. He provided excellent communication prior to our tour being flexible with our schedule and the ever changing weather. During our tour he is charismatic and energetic, enabling my non photographer wife to have a great time as well.Glen also has a teaching mentality and wants to help you get better during the time you spend with him.

Glen is a master guide who generously shares his knowledge of photography and the region's special out of the way" places. Flexible with planning and happy to adjust to meet the changing weather. He will even model for you if asked nicely! Highly recommended."
