They also turned around an asbestos test in record time without and fuss.The best part is he doesn't do the remedial work he is inspecting, you know that you are getting true unbiased independent advice.He was onto the job the day after contacting inquest and called me with very detailed instructions that evening.He even offered to pop back and check once we have dug out where some of the drainage is to go,I wish I had known about inquest years ago as would have saved me thousands on undertaking jobs on my rentals that possibly didn't need doing.I thoroughly recommend these guys. Inquest completed an inspection for a property we were interested in buying. The report was comprehensive, however it was initially sent to us incomplete and we had to follow up with Inquest for them to complete a full inspection (had not sighted garage or toilet), and they did go back and complete. Following receipt of the report, the real estate agents sent an email to all interested purchasers with Inquest's details offering the report could be purchased for less than 1/3 the price we had paid and Inquest left their business cards at the property for other purchasers to contact them. When we approached Inquest about this they said it was covered in their T&Cs.

Adam and his team were so fast to respond (immediate contact) and helped get our building inspection completed before our given deadline. They were friendly, informative and supplied the building report using a really smart and easy to use software. Super fast and reliable inspector. I totally recommend using Inquest for a builders report when buying or selling in the Wellington area.

I requested Inquest to do a pre-purchase property inspection on a large house, with many complicated features (monoclad, rooflines etc). I'm a Kiwi currently overseas, so what I needed was more demanding than just a regular report, given that I could not see the property in person. Overall, I found that Adam and Jodi are truly excellent, and I would strongly recommend their services without any hesitation. The report which Adam provided was very thorough and detailed, and provided an excellent basis upon which to engage with the vendor. In this regard, others such as the real estate agent have also commented to me positively on the report. Adam made himself available on a number of occasions to go over the report, even with difficult time differences, and helped me with decision making. He also went back to the property and did a second inspection, and engaged with the vendor and his builder. He gave practical advice and was solutions-focused. Jodi has been extremely helpful, flexible, and quick to reply on every occasion, and managed to get Adam into see the property very fast. I searched for a property to buy for well over a year and during this process came to rely on Adam’s expert building knowledge. I got verbal building reports on 6 different properties which were a mix of walking through with Adam or a follow up call the evening of if I couldn’t make it. He was generous with what he knows and the discussions we had gave me the confidence to assess any possible risks ahead of making offers (eg. asbestos in ceiling treatments and what remediation would be involved, cladding variations etc). Additionally, Adam and Jodi went above and beyond to accommodate short notice inspection requests (which happens a lot in this market). They’ve always been a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend them and the service they provide.

Adam and Jodi really do run such a professional, high quality business. My family and I came to rely on them. They helped us inspect 5-7 properties in our search for a home in Wellington, ranging from apartments in multi-unit blocks, semi-detached houses and free standing ones. Adam is extremely knowledgable and able to give useful insight on weather-tightness and healthy homes issues. I have seen other builders' reports as part of information packs provided on properties, but Adam's is by far the clearest and most detailed of all the reports I have sampled.
