I have tried both the Chinese takeaways as well as the fish and chips.Both are great and what we can expect from a the typical Asian food as well as the shark and tater (aka fish and chips).The place has an atmosphere of efficiency and seems to be a popular place as there signs of well worn surfaces.So if you want a good and large takeaway visit this placeAlways someone in the shop.

Wow!!!!! I have been to New Asia Takeaways 5 times so far. I will continue to visit due to their crispy chips and excellently fried fish. Their customer service is impeccable.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

My son wanted to order 2C on his own, he went in, ordered and paid and sat giving me the thumbs up through the window, he accidently took the receipt with his order on it because the man put it on the counter, hes 7 so thought that was his number he needed for his order. The man yelled at him grabbed it off him and told him he was stupid. I went in and confronted the man who insistantly told me my son was stupid, I told him he's 7 and it was an obvious accident, my son was so upset and the other staff laughed. Horrible Horrible treatment of a customer! Let alone a 7 year old boy. Myself and my family will never be going back. Disgraceful

I would highly recommend the New Asia Takeaways. The shop is nice and clean and staff friendly. They cut their own chips which are yummy and none of those mr chips rubbish. The fish is great too. We will be back.

Good quantity of food for the prices, fish a good size. Meat pattie was bizarre, not sure if they accidentally gave me something else, it seemed to be 90% mashed potato with just some random tiny bits of meat and corn, wondering if it was actually their bacon and corn pattie". Overall average quality food but at least it's not overpriced."

We're happy with all the meals we have had from here, both Asian and fish 'n' chip menus. Just be aware that if you order an Asian dish, it does not come with rice, as we found out once we got home. The portions are huge but you do need to order rice seperately. We had to make some rice at home which is no big deal but delays your meal a bit.

I will not be going back to this place ever again. I showed them a Ministry of Health Mask Exemption from the Government stating that I have valid reasons for not wearing a mask due to health issues, they discriminated me and said they did not like it and told me to wait outside after ordering my dinner. I am still angry, They have lost me as a customer. I am boycotting. I find these people so rude and inconsiderate. NOT AT ALL AMUSED. Take it up with the New Zealand Government, understand English better, and learn our laws
