Has to be some of the best Japanese food in Christchurch! And PLEASE get the kimchi pork nabe with noodles, it'll change your life. The whole menu looks awesome, there's loads of amazing kushiyaki skewers (yakitori and kushiyaki are used interchangeably in Japan) and if you like raw octopus, then the takowasa is for you. The service was good, everything came as fast as the kitchen/bar could pump it out (the place was busy), and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Izakaya has a great choice for different types of Sashimi. We added some different skewers from the grill to complete our meal.Great selection of wines and other beverages to accompany the dishes.Very friendly and knowledgeable staff to explain the different dishes that were new to us.

Really nice Japanese restaurant with great kitchen and authentic vibe. Plenty of vegetarian options and vegan on request! Nice and polite service. Perfect place to share many small dishes. Food was amazing, think we tried every single vegan option. Gyoza is delicious, so are skewers. Recommend mushroom and mixed Vege one. If you want to try something different try Mushroom Nabe noodle soup. Kaiso salad is also yummy. Vege tempura and Agedashi tofu are average, but overall it’s solid choice. Make sure to make booking as it gets busy !

Best Japanese restaurant in Chch. Food is so delicious and people are nice. My fav is donburi for lunch and kushiyaki moriawase for dinner. Also their cocktails are very tasty.

We did ask for a teppinyake table for a birthday treat , when our group of 10 arrived , they said no we dont do that , sit at the table instead. Wouldn't have gone here knowing this. Very disappointing. Also the ambience at this place is bland and uninviting .

Come on Christchurch you should be lining up to go here, by far one of the better Japanese restaurants I've been to, Great selection of dishes, Nabe was a good size and had plenty of ingredients, the gouza is best I've had in NZ, nice kick with the kimchi, and only my wife makes better. The meat skewers are rich and have good BBQ flavour. Only one dessert but what a treat.

the restaurant have such a nice atmosphere and has the fancy vibes.I ordered the wagyu and prawn donburi and the chefs seem really professional in making them.
