A proper “old school” fish and chip shop! The kind of place where a small freebie here and there isn’t an accident. Where a slice of lemon comes free of charge. Love this place best prices and product in Upper Hutt!

The best. REALLY REALLY the best fish and chips place in the world! and their sweet potato (kumara) chips are to die for!! Visiting from Vancouver, Canada and I've already been twice! Also super super friendly service. No words....just the BEST!!!

1st time there.service was awesome followed by the best fish and chips I had locally for a.long time.I. put it down to everything didn't taste frozen it was freshThe fried bread was awesome too..It's going to be our new F&C chippy.

The fish was that small, couldn't believe you could get fish that small at a fish and chip shop, potato fritters were very extra small, for the second time in a row my steak roll was a spring roll.

Merton St Fish and Chips
One of, if not the best, fish and chip shops in Upper Hutt. It's positive reputation preceded it, so I thought I would check it out. I was not disappointed. Large serves of tasty, well cooked and presented food at very cheap prices. The owners were very friendly and the shop itself was clean, spacious and tidy. Worth the extra travel for me, I will be back.
